But there is basically zero SBMM in the game any more. High skill players whinged until it was removed.
SBMM means : similar level
No SBMM means : favored mode: connection
What ???

Might just be a skill issue.
I'm with all the noobs.
Destiny has public player stats, making lying about your KD much harder. OP's KD is 1.22, and in quickplay only, not quite 2.17 material. Also, most players mean trials and comp KD when their mention theirs, not quickplay. Judging from the time played recently and that the recent weapons line up with the post, "this isn't my main" won't fly either
I don't lie. I only play quickplay control/iron banner.

SBMM : https://ibb.co/pjJX4fV

My teammates hardly have a positive K/D.
My experience : all the noobs with me, average/good/very good players against me.
I sometimes have a few good players with me but that's not the majority of games.
Either way, there is no SBMM in control. Games are frequently unbalanced or at least with a clear victor. Here's a collection of score screens I was able to capture about a month ago:

As you can see all the games are very one-sided with clear outliers in K:D being in almost every game. Some worse than others naturally.
This is why some people are pro-SBMM for control playlists. Others are against SBMM in control because they say it's a casual playlist and should not be sweaty like the competitive playlists. I tend to agree, but I can also see it being really unfair to less-skilled players.
It's a difficult issue. I think we need something in between. It's nice to have some easy games but would also like challenges too.
