STOP GIVING RAID WEAPONS TO CASUALS!!!

First it was the wishes, and now Bungie is making raid weapons (Forbearance and Succession) acquirable via a playlist activity!!!

Raid weapons should be what they're, RAID. WEAPONS. if you don't raid you shouldn't get them.

Do not make the game more casual than it already is, this is a slippery slope imo, first they make a weapon or 2, next thing you know the entire raid weapon pool is acquirable via a casual playlist activity.

At the end of the day, nobody really cares.. The raids are still there for anyone who wants to get crafted raid weapons/raid exotics/raid armor or other cosmetics such as ghosts/ships etc.. Not even to forget there's also triumphs and seals tied to those raids.

Doing raids also gives you currency for other stuff that's locked behind raids, so there's that..

Is free weapons not a good way to boost player count? And, like mentioned before, they aren't the same. They are new guns, modeled to look like old ones. Whether they release a new Arc GL and a new Kinetic Sniper matters little. Perks are no longer raid-exclusive.

April 9th adds a new mode, which after April 30th (I think?) will have quests that gives out the Forbearance Arc GL and/or Succession Kinetic Sniper. The "wish" quests are already in the game and can be used to get a crafting pattern for one of the Last Wish weapons, likely the prized Apex Predator.

The icing on the cake of this comedy show is that the new free weapons aren't even raid weapons. Different looks, different origin trait, different perks, not craftable. Literally raid weapons in name only, making this entire discussion pointless

That's a bit of a stretch, they are reskins at best, just like a lot of weapons in D2. Bungie are too lazy to make new models or add new sounds/effects.

Which is even more hilarious once you consider that there is new eververse content very frequently. Just Bungie being greedy like usual, everything is just a means to an end. The "new" free weapons aren't just gifts to the loyal playerbase....
