I'm a new Player and I'm making sure I can change the colours before I decide to buy a cosmetic. I have so far not seen any way to preview shaders on store cosmetics.
And I'm telling you can do that. The icon on screen indicate to press R mouse button if you're on k/m but on controller (?) I don't know since I'm not on joystick.

Navigate to collections and locate the armour piece there. You should be able to apply shaders to it as if it were in your inventory iirc. Won't work on ornaments though

Won't work on Ornaments? While testing what you told me I see now that all store armour is classified as Ornaments, so the answer to my question is no then. Ok, I see no reason to purchase any cosmetics from the store then. Thank you for the answer.

Geez f christ, chill guys. Yes, you can apply shaders on ornaments, it’s just in-store preview doesn’t allow you.

Armour yes, weapons no. For some reason you can't preview colour changes in the Store.

Shaders can be applied to ornaments. I use several old eververse ornaments on my sets, and all can have shaders applied to them.

You cannot preview shaders on ornaments though, not unless you own the ornament. That's the question i was answering. Once ornaments are owned, shaders can be applied as normal. I should have been more clear

You can use shaders on any armour or armour ornaments include exotic and on legendary weapons or weapon ornaments, you can't preview shaders on ornaments from within the Eververse menus.

Yes you can. the only ornaments to my knowledge that you cannot apply shaders to are those for exotic weapons.

Most armour ornaments can have shaders applied to them, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a concrete way of previewing shader output in-game (at least for items that you do not currently own).

However, you can often find YouTube videos that will show what an armour ornament set looks like when shaded. Just be aware that due to the nature of these videos that they are often not exhaustive, so if you're trying to apply a shader that is more obscure, you might have to do some digging.
