It' not the game, it's player's own connection, device, or in some rare circumstances, an issue with their ISP. People just love to blame the game instead of taking time actually troubleshoot.
Destiny 2 is fully online with no reported issues. If there were issues, everyone would be affected because we all connect to the same service regardless of where in the world we are and what platform we play on.
The article I linked does in in fact provide help. If the player needs further help with their connection, they are advised to contact their ISP. Bungie cannot fix issues outside their network.
That doesn't mean anything. There could be an issue with an ISP or other local outage. It could also be players with terrible connections or people just bashing the game the no reason.
If you need help, please visit the below link. For further assistance regarding network issues, you may wish to speak to your ISP.

then maybe your ISP is currently having issues.. its not the game. i log in and play just fine.
many people complain.. prob new players with connection issues in general or agian as above.. there ISP is having issues.. its not the game.
another online game is not Destiny 2.
i used to think it was the game back on my old connection because i would not have any issues with other online games like ESO Division 2 or KOTOR but it was indeed my connection that was the problem. just because another online game works fine dose not mean Destiny 2 is the problem. sorry but it's a you problem.
Other video games and services are irrevant. You are having issues with Destiny 2, so why are you using other video games to troubleshoot? It is totally possible to have issues with just one or two services.
The issue is 100% on your end. See the link I provided for support.
The game currently works fine and seems the problem is on OP's end (either ISP level, route level or PC level).
But what do you mean Destiny 2 isn't played on servers ? Of course it is. All online games are.
Destiny 2 does not use servers to host game matches. Destiny 2 uses a hybrid peer - peer network. The servers are only used to store game data and matchmaking, but they are not used to host a game match
Not true, some games only use a peer - peer network meaning the player's are responsible for the connection quality of each match. If there are any servers, they are only used to store data and not used for hosting game matches.
Anyway, this discussion is derailing this thread so I won't discuss it further.
If you have further questions regarding Destiny 2's network setup, you can find various articles through Google and Bungie.net. You're also welcome to private message me and we can discuss it there.
