Tinny/Terrible audio sounds
I'm getting what sounds to be a very compressed audio after the initial startup screen, Voices sound terrible and compressed, all other audio has like a cheap tinny buzz to it. I do not think this is an in game setting issue as i have tried looking, i disabled voice chat to no avail, I have gone into windows(11) settings and changed the spatial audio settings, i have disabled the headset mic(I have a desktop mic and a Bluetooth headset.) I've tried a game file verification, i am at a loss now, any help would be appreciated.

It might be an audio driver that is acting up, what kind of audio setup are you using?

Sounds more like a hardware issue, in a few cases it can be driver if your hardware is supposed to use manufacturer version, and not windows/microsoft version of driver, but Windows has gone thru at least 5 version of it's audio protocol since windows 10 to 11, major overhauls.
You should post specs of hardware involved.

Like my whole computer specs? it had been working fine on this same setup(last time i was actively playing tho was probably season of plunder) until i updated to windows 11, and my hardware has not changed. same headset, same computer, same components, different year/winOS/gameversion
am having the same issue, it is the only application ive ever had this issue on, looked through all the settings thought maybe i had 3d audio or whatever on, i dont even have the setting thats meant to allow something to change the audio settings at all. (am also on windows 11 so might be a microsoft incompitence thing) was reluctant to even open the game and am immediately greeted with my headphones being morphed into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tin can

Hi there!

I am going to go ahead and lock this thread as this thread is outdated.

If you are experiencing this issue, I would highly recommend making a new post on the #help forums on Bungie.net. When doing so, please provide additional information, such as your audio device, any pertinent wiring information and other info regarding your system.

Thanks for your understanding!
