Im totally lost with this game dont know what to do
4 years ago when the game was in game pass with the beyond light expansion I played it and I liked it a lot and found it quite intuitive but currently I have returned and I have all the dlc including eclipse but I don't know what to do, I have many missions to do which Many times in the middle the scoreboard stops appearing and I don't know what to do next, suddenly today I logged in and in a chest I had all the 1810 equipment, I really like the game a lot but I have no idea what to do

if you have story quests, those can be found on the planets or in your quest menu, if the quest wont launch you just go to planet and find the flag, right now theres free 2 play event where shawdow keep, beyond light and witchqueen are free, same with 3 seasons contents are free to do , seasonal content takes place in the helm and you can launch seasonal content from the helms local map.
into light event has horde mode and weapon quests that can be completed anywhwere in the system, and you gain access to some really good guns if you need headstart. after completing those weapon quests you can focus what gun you want mostlikely to drop from the onslaught horde mode rewards.
if you focus on doing seasonal content and grinding you can make your own armor with enough luck, you will be rolling some high stat armor and you can unlock craftable weapons but weapon crafting requires you to complete the first opening mission of witchqueen dlc

right now you have plenty to do and it depends what you want. you have whole lot to gain and loose same time, the seasonal and dlc event ents june 3rd, also maxing out the red in into the lights onslaught and completing all of the weapon quests will net you superblack shader unlock.
the pantheon event is raid event, if you are solo, you could try fireteam finder and have mixed results but rewards are ok,
THe into the light weapon quest reward guns always have decent perks and they haev cool glowing effect on them, after this season they gain boosted perks too apparently.

Wellcome! Had 460 on steam and a few hundred on the other store but I also still get lost! Lierally just google everything. The UI alone is giving me a headache.

welcome to destiny where nothing matters cuz they stole the content that people bought that had the story that told you what to do why you were doing it and why you should care about doing it.

have fun doing (if your lucky) a hour of play time every week maybe more if you can stand the unending tedious grind or are lucky enough to get into a non elitist filled group for a raid or dungeon.

also did i mention that you will be forever nerfed because being able to grind your light level up past your skill level so you would be able to do content that normally you would never be able to do without being a sweatlord or getting carried is a big no-no now due to the sweatlords whining about how things are too easy.

now eyes up guardian and be prepared for mediocrity and fomo.

This is the literal opposite experience I've had returning after not playing since Curse of Osiris.

thx all for the responses , do you know if dungeons like Warlord's Ruin have an automatic mathcmaking?
dungeons dont have matchmaking, they need dedicated teams, btw after reset there will be 2 cool exotic missions, zero hour and seraph shield. under the legacy button in destinations menu.

A quick correction to the post you responded to. they dont gain boosted perks. The perks are able to be enhanced which requires materials for that. Onslaught mode which is the main thing of Into the light is harder than people seem to understand. If you got a decent build for AoE or decent boss dmg its easy, but majority of people that joins have no clue of what they are doing and think its a good place to get carried constantly. If you wanna catch up on whats going on, then you should begin the Lightfall Campaign and get your strand subclass so its out of the way.

Dungeons - Raids - Pantheons. requires a premade team of 3 - 6 people.

---1---
Complete main story first.
1. Complete New Light Quest.
2. Complete Shadowkeep Campaign (Moon).
3. Complete Beyond Light Campaign (Europa).
4. Complete Witch Queen Campaign (Throne World).
5. Complete Lightfall Campaign (Neomuna).
6. Complete Final Shape Campaign (after it will be released).

---2---
After that complete seasonal story.
After that you can choose what to do, but i played like this:

---3---
Play easy content:
- Complete all Lost Sector (Normal).
- Complete Exotic Missions (Normal).
- Complete Strikes (Normal) and get rank reset.
- Complete Gambit and get rank Reset.
- Complete Crucible and rank reset.
- Complete Dares of Eternity (Normal) and get rank reset.
- Complete some Patrols for Triumphs.
- Complete Public Events for Triumphs.
- In meantime get easy triumphs in the world.

---4---
Play medium content:
- Complete daily Lost Sector (Legend).
- Complete Exotic Missions (Legend).
- Complete Nightfalls (Hero and Legend) and get rank reset.
- Complete all Dungeons (Normal).
- Complete Dares of Eternity (Legend) and get rank reset.
- Complete all Heroic Public Events for Triumphs.
- In meantime get harder triumphs.

---5---
Play hard content:
- Complete daily Lost Sector (Master).
- Complete Nightfalls (Master) and get rank reset.
- Complete all Raids (Normal).
- In meantime get harder+ triumphs.

---6---
Play hardest content:
- Complete hardest Seasonal Activities.
- Complete Nightfalls (Grandmaster) and get Title and rank reset.
- Complete all Dungeons (Master).
- Complete all Raids (Master).
- Focus on getting Triumphs and Titles in activities.

Do like the stuff with the yellow dot bc that gives u nicer loot

just press tab and do some quest u feel like is funky or gives a fun weapon

then u can just do some easy vanguards and some semi-raid stuff like the horse one

Like i always say: just do what ever - have fun with it and just do some quests
