lost sector exotics are gone?

my friend brought up a good point he had earlier, he asked how is he supposed to get any of the exotics that came out in the past with lost sectors and such, that are now gone, since lost sectors only give exotic engrams now instead of a rotating armor type. now i have no idea how i get pyrogale gauntlets, and how hes supposed to unlock literally anything now, how do you earn them now?

The way you acquire those Lost Sector exotics now is by decrypting Prime and Exotic engrams at Rahool until you've gotten a rank reset. That will unlock another tier of focusing that lets you focus any class Exotic for 1 Exotic engram and 1 Exotic Cipher. Decrypting engrams as-is gives the lowest progress, decrypting them with the expansion-focused decrypts gives more progress, and precision focusing specific Exotics gives the most progress (but is also the most expensive way to focus).

Wow, that sounds way worse. I thought the grind before was bad, but now it's basically 10x worse. If they had just made Tier 3 focusing take multiple engrams, I'd be way less upset.

So glad I already did all the grinding I'll ever do.

How is it a step back ?

You can literally farm a god roll on a specific exotic without wasting time getting a bunch of other unrelated exotics.

Because it was a system that worked and like a lot of other things has seemingly been changed for the sake of change and is not better for it ~ Xur currency, pathfinder changes etc. (Shaders too, they needed a fix but what we got wasn't much help)

Extra steps that still need a bunch of "rep" grinding and doing the Lost sector anyway for that "currency" which if they are staying true to the place wont be a guaranteed drop and most of the time you'll be walking out with a gun you could buy from Banshee

No, it did not work. It was broken as heck. Trying to get a proper stat Balance on a specific Exotic was a massive pain fighting with RNG, on top of having to run Lost Sectors to even get to the point of being able to at least focus the proper expansion's exotics (which still left you with 25% chance or less of even getting the one you wanted, much less with proper stats).

Direct focusing is 100% better. I want a Loreley, I focus a Loreley. Boom. No Lost Sector runs, no focusing a bunch of bad shoulders. Just raining Loreleys. All day.

Also, what "rep grind", I'm literally a few Primes from my 2nd reset with Rahool. There's no grind.

This new system with Rahool is way better than wasting time farming a legendary lost sector that no one wants to do that ♥♥♥♥ was so lame.

How do you make a legend/master lost sectors. From what I see the required power level is at least 2020. Right?

I am currently fighting to increase it to 2000 (artifact points are not included!). But I can not figure out how to do this. All armors or weapons I get are 1991 or 1992 at max.

You zone in under powered and play around it.

Its not like you can get 9 Exotic engrams per week just by doing ritual playlists or Vex Incursion zones that happens like 5 to 10 times a day and drop an exotic always...

you can play them at low light just fine, i ran the thrilladome last night on master 2020 and 1987 and i cleared it in 8 minutes but boy was it ♥♥♥♥ lol
