Class Exotic Items
Is it just me, or the amount of effort and grind needed for this is just borderline ridiculous ?

I haven't even tried it because I have no one to try it with, but watching a video about the steps to take to even get the mission is just weird.

Even worse, completing the mission with someone else is MANDATORY. Like, Bungie, please, I'm a solo player, enough with the coop focused missions.

If you are strictly a solo player then this is not an item you need to complete solo only content

you're exaggerating. if your group couldn't finish an easy encounter like Queenswalk, no one looked up what to do and expected easy good loot (which you wouldn't have gotten, if you didn't kill Riven on the previous checkpoint or got one key from one of the wishes on the wish wall).
To make it short, how to clear Queenswalk: race the heart to the finish line. stay clear of the runner when their timer gets low. persons inside the heart need to pick up taken strength (floating taken orbs) to extend the timer for the runner.
"But how would you know this?" Trial and error, or by looking up a guide.

Feels like the guy is describing WoW LFR where of the 25 peeps there, 2 guys know the fight, try to explain it, half don't read chat, some are AFK and then the group just keeps wiping until stacks are high enough to brute force it.

Like in those 3 hours, did no one in his 6 man team just say "ol' up guys, I'm gonna pull up a guide".
If that's the case, it's one more point on my list of "Why enabling matchmaking for Raids is a bad idea".

I feel with 6 it wouldn't be so bad with kick functionality. It's not like trying to herd 24 other peeps in WoW through content most don't even want to be a part of and are just hoping to get carried through.

Matchmade raiding would def need a mechanic nerf though.

I, too, complain about multiplayer content in an MMO

LFG is fine but it seems like they are forcing the LFG, the other expansions weren't like that is just so strange.
Neomuna, moon, europa, savathun world all have campaign high difficulty for a fire team but just the final form requires LFG, why? is just so strange.

This expansion was pretty good until this point where you realize you will never get the exotic class items if you are a solo player. Sad days, no respect for solo players. Just make a regular exotic mission like all the others in the game, final shape ruined for me because of this.

Buying an online only game with emphasis on playing with other players and crying because you have to play with other players for content is just pure brain rot

30 min for 2 item wasnt bad at all if the other player know what to do, only last part 12 clock u need mic, other than that just typing, but normally i just like to chat with random people

It's not the time investment that is at issue here - it's the locking of an exotic behind a 2-man raid encounter that is the problem. When other exotics weapons were locked behind raids, trials - there were alternative weapons available that us solo players could chase that were almost as good. Right now, there is no alternative way to get these exotic class items and there is no alternative legendary class items for the solo player to chase that are similar. THAT is the issue.

My other issue with grouping with others is that the headset I prefer to use (for work and play) just never works with Destiny 2 (HyperX Cloud Flight - Wireless Gaming Headset). This makes any teamwork impossible unless I get an extremely patient team who is willing to put with text chat. So I just prefer to solo whatever I am after and for the most part I'm fine with that. Been thru every Legendary campaign, fully unlocked my prismatic warlock class, was about to start down Failsafe's story when this nonsense started. So I'm taking a break from D2, enough is enough. I hope Bungie will see our complaints and try making an alternative for us solo's to attain so we can all be happy.

Typical ignorance right here. Maybe if you had an inkling of understanding and empathy for those with serious mental health conditions, which can be very different for each individual i hasten to add, then maybe you would recognise that for me, typing is where i can express myself the clearest, and is an extremely safe environment. I don't feel threatened in the same way by people i can't see - my personal fear is those i can see or hear. Your response clearly shows you still won't understand this but why am i not surprised in this day and age? Good day to you.

You are asking game devs to design their coop multiplayer shooter around the fact that some people just can't communicate effectively.

At some point, where does the responsibility lie though ? If people have such crippling social anxiety, there's a metric ton of single player shooters out there where they will be able to obtain every reward through solo play. You have to accept that your own limitations might result in you not getting every reward available in a multiplayer game. Same as people who don't want to "Sweat" but would like rewards for high rank PvP. It's just not going to happen.

You can't expect Bungie not to create group content in a multiplayer game and then put exclusive rewards for people who opt to do this content.

The amount of communication required for this mission is very minimal. You have to name some symbols and then say some numbers out loud.

It's a multiplayer game yes, but it's also equally a solo player game. Why gate 50% of the 'end game' content to multiplayer or elitist difficulty it doesn't make any sense from a majority or fairness standpoint.

It's a multiplayer game. Made for people who play together. Dual Destiny is a mission built from the ground up for being 2 player. That makes it unique, special, fun. If not for that, if not for a timer and mechanics, it would be mediocre and uninteresting. Think of it from the other way around. Why should Bungie limit what content they make, how they make it, just to accommodate the players too scared to touch LFG in a MULTIPLAYER GAME?

Best Comment along with chase off the 50% player base that is solo and have fun when nobody buys it anymore and pays to keep the game going.

' feel ripped off as thats mostly why I bought this last expansion.
...
I dont feel like playing anymore. '

Not limit but provide equal opportunities for both solo and multiplayer. I know they are trying to balance things accordingly and I get your point and I think balance is the key. Solo players sometimes feel marginalized due to gated 'end game' multiplayer content. My opinion.

You bought Final Shape for a single exotic item. Not the dozens of hours of gameplay and story, and new areas to explore.

For a single exotic item.

And you want this item so much, you're not even willing to join another person and spend 30 minutes getting it.
