Bungie, it's time to let us wear full matching armor sets
Let's face it, the exotic armor pieces look like doo-doo. Why force us to wear an eye sore and not allow us to wear full matching armor sets? If you say for PvP reasons I'm going to puke.

This. I hate that we can't change Exotic appearance. My Guardian is my in-universe identity, and I don't wear certain exotics just because they throw off the look I want. The current means by which we unlock armour appearances is needlessly convoluted, with the time-gated thread farming that is, it should be simplified, but the current system should instead be used for Exotics.

I want to wear Astrocyte Verse for its appearance, but it is designed around Blink, one of, if not the worst ability in the entire game. If I wanted to use that helmet for its looks, I'd basically be nerfing myself by essentially not having an armour exotic.

I feel targeted.

You cant transmog Exotic Armors unly color them or buy Cash shop skins for them and most of them are key to specific builds so you cant just decide to not use them at all for the sake of cosmetics.

Like that isn't going to be exactly what we do when the exotic class items drop.

the perks on the class items dont change the game enough for it to matter

even if they wanted to play the "because pvp" card, just don't allow the transmog in pvp then bungie, easy done

Might not be the brightest idea to downplay on a ability when you've only been playing for a couple of months, blink isn't the worst ability in the game.. It just has a really high skill ceiling, blink dominates in pvp if you can actually master it..
.

Not good reasoning. I've played with Blink for weeks with and without that Exotic helmet and that is all you need to to understand its awful. Me only playing for months means nothing, that reasoning is Appeal to Age logical Falacy, where it is unreasonably assumed that greater age or time invested means it is automatically correct.

Even the most basic platforming is severely stunted with Blink and some jumping/platforming sections are literally impossible. It'd be so easy to improve blink if it worked by orientation rather than momentum, so you teleported to where you were looking rather than the direction you were moving in. The second Blink is largely if not entirely useless. Its use in PVP is its only viable use and is a novelty. Switching to it for encounters is extremely risky in-case you need to actually jump and get to platforms.

This is a symptom of the 1% demanding control over the other 99%.
Exactly right. PvP should never interfere with PvE. Keep them separate.

I agree and the only thing Bungie has told us about this highly desired PvE feature is that it wasn't in spirit with their overall design philosophy. Sounds vague and is disingenuous. PvE players demand more.

the players that dont care about builds are the bottom 1% of players what do you think this game is

You are wrong.

I agree with this idea, it should be a option to change an exotic to match gear sets or other exotics you have acquired. I don't even see what other guardians are wearing until the commendation screen usually, but I have to stare at my weird outlying exotic piece all day. But.. I wouldn't pay money for this.
It's even worse now that we have exotic class items to deal with.

I personally like that exotics end up being the big fashion centerpiece for my various builds; the visual identity being warped around the piece of equipment that grants the big powerful gameplay shake up from what other Guardians are doing makes sense to me.

Though I get why people want a transmog system and wouldn't be against it at all if it were put in the game, it's just never bothered me.

Now that you have exotic class items it's even worse than before. It's a needlessly restrictive system.

If bungie ever sites balancing as a reason for anything they do I just roll my eyes and sigh.
They said it wasn't in line with their vision, whatever that means. So now they want to tell us how to dress up?

in d4 theres transmog, everyone looks awesome but nobody really stands out. its not like d2 where you'd see some crazy thing and wonder "wtf is that" learn, and know to recognize it, etc.
