How to build ignition?
Theres a quest on one of the nodes in the Vanguard left corner tree.
I used all sorts of fire exotics, none seem to have made any progress.

the only thing that worked for me was either getting melee solar on scorched enemies, which means they can't die to the initial solar scorch hit, otherwise no ignition.
Skyburner's oath is great for this, paired with opatha spade, or anything else that increases melee regen/knives. Technically if you just apply enough scorch it should ignite, but that never works.
The current problem with the vanguard playlist is that nades are buffed for regen/damage,so they kill enemies to quickly. But tbh, when they all are burning, how the hell that isn't ignition is beyond me. They're on fire, literally. The problem remains if enemies die to scorch and not to ignition itself. Which is just silly.

I'm a Warlock main, what exotic armor can i use for it? >.<

Probably just ignore that one. You don't have to complete all the nodes.

The point is skyburner's oath applies scorch without doing any kills with it, then use a melee on scorched enemy.. Try celestial fire, should be good and has good range. The exotic armor piece doesnt really matter.
And obviously, apply all ignition aspects and boost solar scorch.

There will be a path where it cannot be skipped, unless you consider doing all of the other paths to complete it. Once you have a setup that works, youll get all ignition frags in matter of 1-2 minutes.

There is no path where it cannot be skipped as there is never a singular path through Pathfinder.

The trick is you have to kill enemies with the actual ignition explosion. If you can find/craft a gun that has the Incandescent perk and then go into Vanguard strikes where there are lots of super weak enemies in clumps, you can blast one or two of them, and their blowing up with Incandescent will take out the rest.
There's a Solar fragment that makes all your Scorch affects apply more stacks, which gets you to an Ignition quicker without doing more damage (since you don't want targets to die before they ignite).

Any objective that specifically wants Ignition kills is a bit of a pain, especially if you can't go somewhere solo to do it. So, I'd skip that node in Pathfinder if you can, but if you ever can't, it's not undoable; just a bit more annoying.

Wrong. I just did double solar ignition to get to reset on last reset.

Just because you did it doesn't mean it was the only path available my dude. You think you need to finish all the nodes or something ? You can literally do 5 nodes only.
Coldhands Jun 10, 2024 @ 8:48am
No one node should be unskippable in Pathfinder. Even the narrowest tier has two options.

I think we just have different interpretations of what skip means.

No, I think you just didn't understand you didn't need to finish all nodes.

Skip literally means skip. It means not triggering that node and just going around it.
