end credits in latvian?

why of all languages did bungie decide to thank us in Latvian at the end of the final shape? when everything else with guardian creed is done in latin? per auducia ad astra and the likes, its just confusing why they chose latvian, let alone not even english or a language your game is based in like spanish, russian, french etc.
