Iridecent mod only work on nearby apponent, and it's just scorch
Also, ignition will ocur after you stack those scorch debuff on single target. Currently, the easiet way to apply scorch is via polaris lance (cheapest and easy to get) or spamming your solar super (especially warlock dawnblade or song of flame)

super does not ignite scorched targets.

yes scorch can spread but all attemtps do not provide any ignition.

solar weaps provide kills.

Solar ignition occurs when an Entity gets 100 Stacks of Scorch.

If you want to Ignite an enemy specifically with Incandescent, kill 4 (3 With Ember of Ashes) Enemies that are in a group, and anything left alive in that group will get Ignited.

If you want your Super Kills to Ignite targets, use Ember of Combustion.

In terms of abilities, make sure that both of the abilities that you are using can inflict scorch, as Titan's Throwing Hammer and most of Hunter's Throwing Knifes don't inflict scorch. But Titan's Hammer Strike will Ignite any target it kills, and Hunter's Weighted Throwing Knife Ignites Scorched Targets on hit.

In terms of Aspects, Titan's Sun Spots will Scorch Targets that walk through them.
Consecration will ignite any targets that are scorched when they are hit by its second wave attack.
Warlock's Hellion lobs blobs of lava at Enemies that cause scorch, and Touch of Flame enhances your grenades and allows you to Ignite targets with your grenades with ease.
Hunter's Gunpower Gamble causes an ignition with it is shot.
