Precision sniper kills on Pathfinder is annoying AF
Lots of ppl complaining about the PvP which is fair, but some of the PvE needs to be reconsidered too. Solar ignition is also dumb.

"Soft", "random", dude ppl have preferred play styles. I can be flexible, but I know a game design flaw when I see it.

If you have bad aim just say that

My aim is excellent with scout rifles, etc. Snipers handle poorly in this game, scoping a sniper on heads before yr teammates kill 'em just sucks.

At least with Solar Ignition, it can be cheesed with Hunter and Titan technically. But what about new players that may be missing aspects? Or existing players needing to change builds around due to the honestly pathetically small number of loadout slots? But yeah; I do not like the pathfinder. I ended up quitting earlier today because it slowed my progress down by having the rank 5 objective being killing TEN BOSSES in Strikes. Ten. And the other rank 5 objective was blocked off by a bunch of Crucible stuff. Did not take long. I should be far more rewarded for the time it takes to kill ten bosses via loading into Strikes. Especially since the number of bosses in Strikes can vary greatly, but are normally low.

Pathfinder as a whole is annoying, you jump between crucible(yuck),gambit and strikes and lose the boost on top of mindset changing... Like if you wanna chill on couple strikes but Pathfinder said no.

You aren't required to have all of the Aspects or Fragments to get the quests down. While they may make it easier, it's not required and can simply be done by killing 3 grouped up enemies with a weapon that has Incandescent, which will then cause an ignition. this can also simply be done by combos with Abilities or Exotics.

Save the builds you use the most in your Loadout Slots, save the ones you use the least in DiM or just make yourself a note of what the build has so you can save it for later use.

Yea I will agree having to kill 10 bosses was a bit tedious it wasn't all that bad in the end.

Never said it was required, but the aspects that make ignitions guaranteed make it much faster.

Needing to use a third party software to save more loadouts speaks poorly on the available number of loadout slots baked in. It asserts that the slot count is too low, rather than disproving it.

The ten boss one is a big deal. Because the reward of the challenge itself and the end of path reward do not scale at all based on the time required for the different requirements. That innately makes getting a slow tedious task a massive detriment and huge time waster. With no option to reroll the Pathfinder either if you get a particularly egregious one.

Yeah it's painfully obvious this improvement is needed. I don't know what a good reroll design would look like, but I'd be willing the sacrifice some glimmer to just change a few nodes.

I've been using incandescent weapons, and attempted to optimise my solar hunter build for ignition, but getting literally zero progress on it. idk if it's bugged or I'm just not getting it. At least with sniper I know what to do, ignition I'm straight up confused.

clown them as much as you want, it's 40 sniper kills, Most snipers get like 15 shots per ammo brick, It'll quite literally take you 10-20 minutes, There's even snipers that get AOE perks like dragonfly/firefly to make it easier

You are kidding, right? But in case you aren't:

-Run into a cave or to a side outside the 'big' map. Loads of enemies, all for you. Maybe fiirst generate green ammo bricks around you so then you can quickly restock. Or, just try doing it while doing missions and only farm the rest you still need.

-Solar ignitions means literally you need things to ignite by applying enough scorch stacks. With teammates this can sometimes get tricky, but it means applying scorch and waiting for the enemies to ignite into other enemies. Dragon's Breath does this, with Sunshot the blast from the first kill also scorches other's around. So don't shoot them again right away, let them ignite. Maybe play around a little with this.

Many strikes have more than one boss and the pathfinder objective for killing 10 bosses always has an enemy type which is worth more.

As for needing to get ignitions for pathfinder, put on a weapon with Incandescent (there are loads of them in the game now), equipment the solar class fragment that applies more scorch stacks to target and off you go. I completed that objective about halfway through one game of Gambit.

The other good thing about the pathfinder is that if you don't like one objective, there is always an alternative route to the finish.
