What is a good time to buy legacy collection 2024? (F2P)

I want to play this game for the first time and I'm looking at buying the legacy collection if I really enjoy the game. My main question is, what is a good time to buy the legacy collection whilst playing Destiny 2 in F2P?

I guess what I was meant to ask was do I need any of the legacy stuff asap if I'm playing through the story for the first time from the very beginning?

I think you can go through the shadow keep and beyond light campaigns for free, but realistically its best to buy the collection on sale, its very much worth it as you get everything except the latest dlc (Final Shape) and some dungeons (from witch queen and lightfall) which you need a separate key for unfortunately).

TLDR:

- You can really start from the beginning as that content was removed.

- If you want to stay f2p you can play the shadowkeep and beyond light campaigns.

- If you like the game enough its best to buy the legacy collection on sale and its a lot more expensive normally.
