Worth getting into after not playing for a long time?

Seems like all of the previous expansions have very negative reviews, but I'm seeing that TFS is actually very positive in the community. Would you say TFS is worth the money, and are the previous expansions worth picking up at all? Am I missing any good content if I were to skip them?

I mean you can play two of the older campaigns for free so. Why not try those and take it from there?

But the actual older D2 content is all vaulted so you cant do the whole thing even if you wanted to

you can play 2 missions of forsaken a recap mission and a dreaming city mission. ShadowKeep is short and i find kinda boring beyond light was ok witch queen was good lightfall i am about to start and the final shape was good on legendary have not touched any of the post game content yet this is from someone who quit after they sunset everything

for all those buildup on FInal Shape final closure mission, i'd say it's very worth it

Would I be missing out on anything skipping Shadowkeep for example, besides the story? I've heard negative things about it as well.

Honestly, the game is mid. Just play something else and save yourself like $160. Watch a YT video if you're interested in how the '10 year saga !! ends', which is exactly how you think it does.

Since you're a returning player though, TFS is the best expansion since The Taken King, since it copies a lot of the structure and actually rewards open world exploration
