Is Exotic Khvostov worth it?

The Quest is ridiculously long for Ricochet rounds... I just got the legendary version and its not great. Is it even worth doing all the quest steps after this. Seems like a giant time waste for a subpar weapon.

Well you're comparing a normal legendary to an exotic weapon. End of the day, it's a kinetic primary weapon. Before Prismatic, i rarely had a use for kinetic primaries. Kinetic now synergies with prismatic. So if you're into that, i think it's worth it. The weapon itself seems pretty decent otherwise.

Thats Fair, the only major differences stat wise I see between the Legendary version and Exotic besides the Exotic perk. is +20 Aim Assistance, and much more Reload Speed. I havent checked out the Prismatic Kinetic stuff yet, Ill have to give it a look. Cant really get the exotic right now with the bug so Ill think on it I guess.

Loot chasing is a major aspect of the game. There are still exotics from years ago that I still haven't gotten yet. As the game progress, i feel less and less inclined to go back and get them. I say get it now while it's hot & fresh

I got the exotic version and with facet of grace it can allow you to get transcendant extremely quickly thanks to the ricochet. Also its ability to clear out groups of enemies cannot be understated. I do believe it is quite worth it for an exotic primary autorifle. Necrochasam with its new catalyst may have it beat but with that gun you cannot always guarantee value with its perk. Khvostov hits hard, feels extremely good to use and synergises very well with primatic builds

Yeah bro, it's actually really good, you can kill one 1 enemy and other 3 are killed also, so it's reaaally good for ad clear, also prismatic)

except they disabled one of the boss spawns for the exotic quest part. so unless you killed that overthrow boss already you cant get it till they re enable it

Isn't kinetic an anti-synergy with prismatic? It leaves you much less efficient at dealing Dark damage than having a stasis or strand first-slot.

you get motes from all the bosses, you can just farm it 9 times

No. Kinetic weapons specifically charge both bars at the same rate.

You can just farm the same Overthrow, I haven't seen half the bosses and got the motes I need.

That and the Traveler's memories are all you need.

I also disliked the legendary gun but the exotic is soooo good. It can hold its own in high end content. So good for add clear and is a great gun to use
