As for the older expansions, yes, they are worth buying, especially now that the Legacy Collection is on sale at a big discount. 24.5 dollars for 6 expansions is a great price.
If the $100 price tag for the new expansion scares you, you can buy the base edition for $50. It includes the first season, and then in the future you can upgrade to the annual pass if you want.
So the content of the old expansions is still completely there? Cause some games, especially MMO games "advance" the game world and the older expansions are not really accessible anymore or don't make sense, etc.
So I could go through the same experience and play through it as I could have done if I got and played them when they released?
Also, 4 seasons were released between major expansions. These seasons are removed after each new expansion is released. The plot of these seasons usually ties the expansions to each other, so there may be problems with understanding of the plot.
But in general, when it comes to expansions specifically, unless you count the Forsaken story campaign, all of their content is still in the game.
Beyond Light and Light Fall expansions are definitely worth getting due to them unlocking Stasis and Strand subclasses
The "Legacy Collection" is a great bundle to purchase
