Potential record player count on the final shape launch??
I think we are going to far surpass the current record concurrent player count on steam already the 24 hour peak is 143k which is the most in months and seeing a ton of new light players,i think launch day the servers are going to be putting in work

every dlc that releases has server issues, this thread is going to be filled with so much whinging and complaining on Wednesday when it officially launches.
It happens every dlc.

Destiny barely has had any launch issues.

The queues are so small compared to other games. Its at most gonna be a 5 min queue. I have no idea why you're claiming Destiny has always had launch issues with the servers XD.

Sadly it won't probably happen, most likely there will be a lot of angry players connfused about not having access anymore to witchqueen/beyond light /shadowkeep ... because those dlc weren't "free", they just gave it access to everyone for a month and tomorrow (at final shape's launch) they'll revoke it.

I fear there'll be more drama ... *shrugs*

Have you played any of the expansions? Lol it is not 5-10 min wait…some people literally wait 30 mins to an hour…look on Reddit twitter and twitch concurrently and you’ll have a better idea of how the “community” experiences launches

From personal experience, the last two expansion launches (witchqueen and lightfall) were really smooth and did not have that many issues compared to older expansions.
They definitively learned from their past mistakes and tweaked their infrastructure.
The only issue i see that could cause final shape launch to be different is the amount of people who will try to log in. I think this expansion will bring back so many people that the servers will eventually stutter.
Overall I think it won't be as bad as Shadowkeep or Beyond light.

When I look at reddit or twitter, I see people exaggerating. Destiny 2 never has long queue times whenever an expansion (or even the initial game launched on ps4 (Remember that 1 month exclusivity deal? :D) The only issue that time was tower loading took ages for some people.

I played d2 since it launched on PS4 and even on PS4 (Where the majority of the playerb ase where at the time, did not have exaggerating queues.

When Beyond Light released I pretty much couldn't play all day, There was that meme "Beyond Light - Beyond Capacity" Even back in Taken King I remember getting thrown off because the servers were running on fumes the first day.

I am curious how it's going to go, remember this game is owned by SONY and someone already dropped the ball with the leaks earlier this week.

Hopefully it all goes smooth but with any major MMO online only game with a large player base like Destiny. Expect things to go wrong and to have some issues.

How ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ irritating is reading someone so fixated in a mistake. YOU ARE WRONG. Even in the weekly maintenance people has to deal with server issues. Me, myself, in the maintenance two weeks ago i couldn't log in for two hours, and when i was able to log in i had to deal with nearly 30 minutes of queue.

You are WRONG. Destiny 2 has server issues. Period. Move on.

Hi.

I dont consider maintainance server issues. Two weeks ago I did not have 30 minutes queue... Didnt they just.. ya know, extend the maintainance?

You're never never abnle to login from 1600 CET to 1900 CET during maintainance.

Yeps... There you go... It was extended. And there was still no 30 min queue lul
