Looking for structured lore

Greetings

A day ago a youtuber called "My name is Byf" published a 10-hour long video with the complete story of Destiny. It is good. I am looking for something similar, but in text format. I know that there are lore places in the internet, but what I have found so far is unstructured and fragmented.

Could someone recommend a more structured lore source ? By "structured" I mean it is clearer what followed what and how different stories influenced each other ?

Not really. Destiny has always used the Dark Souls style of lore. It tells you things in little fragments through item descriptions and lore books. Byf has a lot of other videos that go into certain things in greater detail and you can buy an omnibus of all the lore books, but reading them is probably going to be too fractured for your taste.

Bungie have been hinting at novels or something like that for a while now. Hopefully they do that. I'd like to read some proper books about things that happen in the universe.

No worries!
The timeline section in the game itself does a pretty good job of telling you the major beats of the in-game story, but it's basically a tl:dr of the things players did in Destiny 1 and 2. It doesn't really go into things like the significance of who the Drifter is or why people like Shaxx keep talking about Mara's bodyguard who died like a hundred years before the game starts.

There is a website called Ishtar Collective that compiles all these lore tabs that are available through the API. You can browse them by when they release or by certain characters or collections if you like that.
