How to Identify the Main Quest?

This game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ confusing, it gave me a lot of quests, seasons, exotic ♥♥♥♥ that I have no idea which one is the main quest. After completing the "tutorial" I went to the last city, meet everyone there, made that main quest to kill that woman, then they send me to Neptune, I used a green grass to kill things, meet with the Neptunians, and now I have no idea how to progress the main quest. What's the name of the main quest and how do I identify it so I keep following the main quest.

It seems I should be going to the veil, but... Not because "we don't have people to spare" and some ♥♥♥♥ ... What is the main quest? How do I complete the main campaign so then I can do DLCs and expansions?

Do you have the lightfall DLC? You have to own the specific DLC to do the campagin, but right everything except for Lightfall is free to play.

I have no DLC, I just want to complete the main campaign, not a DLC campaign.
I want to beat the game proper, then I'll think about buying DLC to do DLC's campaign.

There's only campaigns attached to expansions. The earliest one is the Shadowkeep campaign on the moon.

Yeah confusing sometimes at the start. Get later on, you will see how main story and quests are really handy and convenient.
You can do at your leisure each and every one. If you're midway through and want to hunt down on specific items, the campaign progressions don't hinder you like many story campaign progression locked games.
