Warlord is not a free dungeon… maybe they made it free temporarily before final shape launched, but when it released you needed to purchase the dungeon pass to play. There has not been a “free” dungeon, or in other words a dungeon that you didn’t need to purchase separately after already buying the expansion it released with, since they made prophecy over 4 years ago. I would be overjoyed if two weeks from now I log on and I’m not required to spend $20 for a season of collecting materials in patrol and occasionally doing a mission, and then another $20 for a single dungeon, but Bungie hates us for playing their game so it’s probably going to be just as expensive as I’m anticipating. Definitely going to wait and see how the community feels about this new season and new dungeon before spending a penny. I’ve heard from devs who were fired that the new dungeon is good, so I might just buy the dungeon pass and skip the season since it’s going to be reused activities and locations like we usually get, probably in the tangled shore this time around. I guarantee one of the crafted weapons will be a legendary stasis or maybe void rocket sidearm since those are the only elements left, but otherwise I don’t think the new guns will make or break the game, especially with everything getting power crept after TFS and limited resources to introduce new weapon types and elements to the sandbox. All I’m really worried about is if they add the dreadnaught as a seasonal activity destination in the helm and don’t actually bring the destination to D2. I’m uninstalling if that happens.
Not sure what you mean by "this is last episode" - there are still 2 more episodes planned (both of which will be covered by the annual pass). If you plan on playing this game until next June 2025, I would buy the annual pass since it's cheaper instead of buying everything separately.
