Stunning Barrier Champions
So this is the last obstacle before I move from (rank?) 6 to 7. I saw that I need 7 stuns of which I somehow already had 2.

I have tried getting volatile rounds from picking up orbs, tried hitting them when radiant, tried using a strand weapon to get unraveling rounds but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

What's the trick to this?

Barrier Champions are something completely different. They will be called something like 'Barrier Servitor', 'Barrier Colossus', etc; after taking some damage, they generate a shield around themselves, while they regenerate their health. Hitting this with anti-barrier weaponry (or effects) breaks the shield, stops the regen and stuns the champion, the shield is unbreakable otherwise.

You want to to look for them in Legend/Master Lost Sectors, in Nightfalls - any activity that includes Champions will say so in their modifiers.

Use an anti barrier weapon, the artifact has a perk for sidearms, I use Wishender.

A good time as any to learn how to use a bow LOL In my previous attempts I never seen to hit anything. I'll get it today.

I've been using Arbalest on them in Gambit all of yesterday, no luck, or is there another location I should be trying?

Keep an eye on the rotating daily legendary lost sector, which should have two types of champions.

Dares of Eternity will have barrier champs for wave 1 cabal, wave 2 cabal, and wave 3 hive iirc.

Arbalest will work, but as EckyThump said, you're looking in the wrong place for them.

Ah thanks guys, apologies, lost in translation there as I was understanding Blockers and Barrier Champions as the same thing :er_sad: I must have accidentally gotten those 2 in DoE. Completely wrong place. Thanks again :praisesun:

My Solar Titan build for Lost sectors, I throw a hammer to trigger Radiant before they use their shield, rifle them until they shield and switch to my trace/machine gun to break the shield (as auto rifle already stuns Overload champions, it can't break a Barrier champion for some god forsaken reason).

Works like a charm.

Legend Lost Sectors is the best place to stun champions btw.
