In order for BE to operate properly, it needs to be able to download updates prior to launching the game. If this fails for you please make sure that your system and network has unrestricted internet access. Furthermore, if you are using a firewall or similar security software, please ensure that the BE Launcher executable (often named “[Game name]_BE.exe”) is allowed to access the internet without restrictions. You may want to add the BE Launcher executable to the software’s exception list as well.

Verify Integrity of Game Files
Clear download cache
Step 1: Click Start menu, type cmd, right-click the Command Prompt application and choose Run as Administrator. When the User Account Control window appears, click Yes to launch the elevated cmd.exe.
Step 2: Type sfc /scannow and then press Enter to run the SFC scan.
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files[support.microsoft.com]
Step 3: To run DISM, type the following commands and press Enter after each.
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
