Not good enough, I insist on it being served on gold platter with a velvet pillow, Royal Purple pillow. LOL
I can understand on a legend lost sector but a long ass mission with puzzles.
As a solo player I was instantly put off and I have not tried it
What's going to work, what could potentially work.
Same thing with the jumping part, how can i get thru there faster, etc.
Tbh, mountaintop the new version, and strand grapple makes this quite easy. It was way slower before. You had to really push for every second before.
What really new is the briggs, not the tanks. So if you find a fast way to clear those, your getting somewhere.
Any super that you can just instantly push into its face on the first brigg, so at least you get the crit spot up (or just flat kill it alltogether) will work great for first part. There is a hole in the "ceiling" before you get to the first brigg, so you can throw arc super, or nova bomb or whatever, then clear normal ads to get new super back and rinse repeat.
The most efficent, and in several ways the fastest clear i've seen so far is sunbracers on warlock,. lots of adds so you can get the nade back again, nuke anything with more nades.
Add to that warlock has dashing, bonus of sword skating, known super skate mechanics, if your comfortable on warlock - this was made for you. So many utilities for the maze and everything.
Call a doctor.
The reason why they're potentially losing players over all has nothing to do with an exotic mission. From the runs i've done with randoms, people are :
Over excited to get the job done!!!
Literally can't wait to get started, sword skating off the first second and just RUNNING!
It's fun to see that. The joy players have.
Sure, it's a mission that requires to have put some braincells to work on what do bring to the mission, abilities, weapons, and there's a few ways to run it faster, but it's not hard to learn what to do. :
#1 move forward
#2 destroy enemies so you can continue with #1 until last encounter
#3 kill boss and enemies in last encounter for loot within time frame.
There is no : Where in the fk is that switch out of the dozen, and what order to i need to do these 12 switches, and who is going to this and that, why isnt this guy responding on voice, who in the fk forgot lament or whatever.
It's all just GO GO GO. I agree the time limit is a bit weird, 20:39 or so, but it seems to work well for people, certainly solo experienced raid players get it done, so team of 3 who never done any raiding over many seasons should be just fine. And im proof of that.
If the game is losing players of anything it would be more that game engine has never received major updates to netcode, pvp map pool should have been at least 5-6 times bigger then it is, same for gambit. That they just gave 3 pvp maps now is tbh too little to late imo. Because the map pool has been at a standstill for years on end.
(gambit got nothing, infact extremely nerfed and content removal some season ago, stuff like that pisses people off who actually enjoyed it.)
They could fix fps issues with damage scaling, but also make movement even across frametime, it is actually possible to sword skate pass walls if you know the location of the wall behind it, if you simply have low enough fps, the communication game server never sees you crash the wall, it skips you. Stuff like is the actual problem of the game, because people take advantage of it. And as it's said "if it's in the game it's allowed".
So many cheeses in the game it's an entire movement mechanic of itself. That's not out there as developer provided info to casual players. That's a problem because it's dividing the player base unnecessarily so. And this is easily fixable, better HUD tips, actually useful information pop ups instead of reminding me that i can now buy yet another T-shirt because i completed this and that triumph. That's the nonsense in the game. It's not focused on the actual quality and balanced throughout.
In short, it's not a common ground base of development for the players from the developer side.
There's a lot of issues with the game, but an exotic mission, that gives you one of the best dps for primaries in kinetic slot, thats not an issue.
That's terrible, i did some puzzles in a normal run to double check i didnt miss an intrinsic, made coffee, went to the toilet, had a phone call, and still had 14 minutes left. And i walked the whole way. No skating.
You need to be at about 20 minutes left in normal for legendary. Or there abouts.
If you pass the first tank at the latest of about 16:30 left on the clock, 17+ preferrably, you should be good.
