Beyond Light pricing is a complete ripoff ?
Shadowkeep + season of the undying was sold for 35€
Beyond light + season is sold for 50€

How do Bungie justify the 43% increase ? I hope that for this price tag, fresh content wiil be added throughout the year and not a rehashed menagerie for 2 seasons and then public events...

Moreover, adding new weapons and increasing the power level isn't enough to keep people entertained for a whole season.

I really hope they have solid plans for the year to come or it's definitely my last purchase for Destiny.

Remember this isnt a DLC like Shadowkeep. the moon is an old content made for d2. beyond light is a brand new location we have never been to before. they are adding a brand new subclass (first thats been added since the release of destiny) also adding a ♥♥♥♥ ton of new weapons not just weapons wed see in a new location or a new season.

Shadowkeep was a smaller expansion similar to rise of iron from d1.
Beyond light seems to be more like forsaken or taken king which were both massive

you can always just ride the free to play train. Just wait and see what Beyong Light has to offer before buying it.

I'm assuming Beyond light is going to be significantly bigger dlc than shadowkeep with some actual story and huge opening season. As Luke Smith said during the stream, Destiny 2 is now entering it's second phase, this game is supposed to be noticeably different since november

Exactly! Personally I've removed the game due to the total unjustified money sink it's been, but you'll still get those who will pay more and more and enable big companies to keep doing what they do. I haven't seen an expansion from Destiny yet that has been even close to worth the cost. BUT maybe Beyond light will be, who knows, but with the large gap between cost and value of the previous expansions, they should really be providing beyond light for free, even if it worth it's weight in content.

Boy, I hope that's the truth. Destiny 2 is in this weird, bad spot where it's started to transition into the full on MMORPG it always should have been, but it's only changed enough to feel confused and incomplete. I feel like Beyond Light is make or break for Destiny (for me, anyway), and if it makes it, this game will become amazing.

There will more than likely never be another dlc like forsaken you know why they had 3 companies working on that expansion alone before they split from activision. It was also a dlc meant to revive the game after the somewhat troublesome launch of destiny 2. As of now its just bungie working on the game and they dont have all the extra hands of activision helping out.

This is a forum for discussion. If you don't want to discuss OP's topic that's fine. But chiming in just to surpress discussion in a forum specifically designed for that purpose just goes to show how "intelligent" you are. gg.
your name is "Greedy Bungie liars" not sure how much discussion anyone can have here tbh. ntntnt

I bought a deluxe edition steam key from a reseller for like 50 something €.
Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me for an entire year of content.

I started out thinking it was a ripoff. After thinking about it, maybe not. I paid $9.99/month in 2002 for Motor City Online. The Dollar was worth more then, and this breaks down to something like $6.00 ish/month (5.8325) for the next year (for the deluxe package). A friend told me he spent $ 15.00/month on an MMORPG, some say it gets more content, well at near three times the price it should.

If I stop playing the game, it won't be about the price.

You are basically being asked to pay full price for a giant patch. It is pretty much Destiny 3 in everything but name.

So it's up to you if you feel it's worth it or not

what did you expect? getting it for free? lol.

look around, games in general are getting more and more expensive.

i used to be able to buy a game for around 30 bucks. these dya everyone is paying 60 and no one is crying about it, in a few years ( if even that) everyone will be paying 70. there will be an "uproar" but in the end, like the sheeple we are, we are going to pay that price.

increasing the powerlevel has been here since the start of the game, no one said anything about that until a couple of months ago.

no one liked season 10, and that when people started realising that all they do is get into the next season, grind their way to the next powercap, and then what?
this is standard operation in any given MMO.
adding new weapons might actually be somewhat "refreshing", not that it actually is going to be, but still...

as to the roadmap bungo has in mind, who knows? when they showed the art for the next 3 xpacks/dlc's i wasnt really hyped. all it comes down to is that they are trying to bank on people staying for the over arcing "story" (wich, in current state, is pretty much lacking, but then again, we should have been playing BL by now).

talking about story, i could not have cared less about the lore when i started playing, but as of last year, the lore behind a lot of stuff in the game got my attention and to be fair, the lore in the game so far is pretty interresting.

that being said, like other people stated, wait for BL to come out and look at the reviews. dont thake the day one reviews though, as no one has actually been able to get to "endgame" content.

anyway, gameprices are what they are and there is nothing we can do about it, the whole industrie is just focussed to much on making money and putting out garbage.

hope this all will change someday.

"It is pretty much Destiny 3 in everything but name."

And content. It's already been confirmed there are no new Crucible/Gambit maps in the new expansion. Beyond Light is going to be very "light" on content. Don't expect a Forsaken/Taken King size expansion.
