so for the last few months i had been playing on pc and in game voice chat was working just fine. then suddenly the gc just stopped working and i cant get it to work. i cant hear anyone in the gc and they can't hear me. i tried updating drivers, changing inputs many times and even googling it. nothing worked. yet in all my other games such as lethal company, HD2 and so on so forth i can use game chat no problem. its only destiny that wont work. any ideas on what to do?

First check the Destiny Audio Guide.

Destiny-Audio-Guide[help.bungie.net]

If it still doesn't work and no one can hear you or vice versa, then the firewall or router blocking ports.

Open ports for outbound Traffic UDP range 30009 - 33500.
Open ports for inbound Traffic UDP range 30009 - 33500.

Unfortunate no Information can be found to this issue on the Bungie help website.

Advanced-Troubleshooting-UPnP-Port-Forwarding-and-NAT-Types [help.bungie.net]

If Bungie would add a function to Destiny 2 to test voice chat like NAT check if a firewall or router block ports that would be really helpfull.

Are the devices you're using set as your communication devices in windows? I've learned recently that Destiny 2's voice chat on PC specifically uses communication devices.

Also make sure voice chat is actually enabled in-game and such.

dunno if this will help- but i had the same issue and what fixed it for me was the gamebar.. pressing i think it was windows key shift and G. then setting the mic input on the GUI. after that it worked.
