Is there any reason why my game keeps Minimising and Displaying the game on my second Monitor? Question
I've had this problem for a year now, and I've come to live with it, but of recent, it's become alot worse.
Sometimes it's really good, sometimes, it's unbearable where I don't want to play. One coming to a point where I lost a Flawless Game.

I am playing in Fullscreen @ 3440x1440 on an Ultrawide, However when the game does seem to alt+tab by itself, it seems to Go straight to the desktop. I've tried closing my apps, Discord, nothing in the background, it still tabs out. In 1/5 Cases, even when I know I'm on my Primary Screen, the game will be played on my second Screen, which is vertically placed on 1080x1920.

I tried on my Laptop, and no issue whatsoever, even on my ROG Ally.

If anyone is able to provide some troubleshooting on why this is being caused, I would appreciate it. But it still baffles me how Bungie haven't made a Display Option.

For some other reference, other games I've played Recently like Fortnite, Forza, Dragonball FighterZ, are not having this issue.

Are you using Windows 11?

Had an issue similar where some games would default to a particular monitor, for me at least it was down to how I had them connected to my PC, It would default to the one monitor I had connected via HDMI directly to the Mobo, and not to the DVI on the graphics card.

Probably not your issue, but something to consider.

But if the game is Alt+Tab'ing itself, sounds like there's a background program that's taking foreground control to be the "active" window so to speak before sulking back into the background, ran any virus checks? or even checked your anti-virus to see if it's scanning or checking something?

Destiny isn't the most optimised and goes out of it's way to not allow OBS to hook onto the gameplay capture, so I imagine something like that is making Destiny to Tab itself out because of some background process.

It happened to a Dev playing the game on the live stream. Someone in the comments on the reddit thread stated its a Windows 11 issue but has apparently been fixed with their recent update.

Okay, that I didn't think of, and that's working nicely.

Okay, gave it a full go last night, same thing happens.
Tried Windowed, Alt Tabs itself out for whatever reason...

So, if you have let's say another program open, but you minimize that, destiny 2 can also refuse to be switched to again, and it may seem frozen. Until you reopen the other program, ie browser, so that is not minimized again, then destiny 2 can also be switched to again. It's quite extreme behaviour and i havent experienced this with anything else. It's kind of awkward everything in destiny 2 that involves going in/out of menu or switching to other monitor or browser.

For me it takes 2 seconds before ui/character is loaded, and mouse access is hard denied, until it finishes loading and mouse re-centers always from middle.
Meaning that a lot of this is hard programmed to be this way. Unresponsive and slow.
In general it helps to enforce refresh rate for games, so you have no switching of refresh rate/resolution - between game and desktop. One less hickup that way.

Maybe you have something running that is stealing focus. The only times I can think of that I was taken to the desktop without me doing it was when the game just crashed, so no going back without loading again. You might also have something going on with your keyboard or a macro.

I just tried a few things.
Between Razer, Macrium and Nvidia, I think it's Razer that's causing this issue.
Willing to bet Sypanise is doing something.

Honestly, I've slept since then, but I think someone said something about that Razer software causing some kind of issues.
