Probably not your issue, but something to consider.
But if the game is Alt+Tab'ing itself, sounds like there's a background program that's taking foreground control to be the "active" window so to speak before sulking back into the background, ran any virus checks? or even checked your anti-virus to see if it's scanning or checking something?
Destiny isn't the most optimised and goes out of it's way to not allow OBS to hook onto the gameplay capture, so I imagine something like that is making Destiny to Tab itself out because of some background process.
It happened to a Dev playing the game on the live stream. Someone in the comments on the reddit thread stated its a Windows 11 issue but has apparently been fixed with their recent update.
Tried Windowed, Alt Tabs itself out for whatever reason...
For me it takes 2 seconds before ui/character is loaded, and mouse access is hard denied, until it finishes loading and mouse re-centers always from middle.
Meaning that a lot of this is hard programmed to be this way. Unresponsive and slow.
In general it helps to enforce refresh rate for games, so you have no switching of refresh rate/resolution - between game and desktop. One less hickup that way.
Maybe you have something running that is stealing focus. The only times I can think of that I was taken to the desktop without me doing it was when the game just crashed, so no going back without loading again. You might also have something going on with your keyboard or a macro.
Between Razer, Macrium and Nvidia, I think it's Razer that's causing this issue.
Willing to bet Sypanise is doing something.
Honestly, I've slept since then, but I think someone said something about that Razer software causing some kind of issues.
