Vaulted Weapons, Etc

A few days ago the Prophecy Dungeon got its loot pool updated. a few weapons became unobtainable, and new weapons were added in their place. I was late to this news, and missed out on a sniper rifle. Does Destiny 2 ever bring back weapons that get removed from the past?

no, but luna regolith from vanguard has similar stats and all of the perk choices that far future had.

There're probably less new than reissued weapons. Prophecy guns are no exception. Xur and Dares are full of old weapons as well, but I would not expect them to bring it back any time soon. There're better weapons now anyway.
