Guardian games rewards

I just need to know if everyone had this and it came as a byproduct of this bugged release. Soon as I took the event item from Eva and put it on the reward chests on the podium which are to be earned for leveling up by submitting them medals were all present in flames and I could open them all. I also did find the skimmer in my inventory tho it should have been earned right? Considering all the other bugs and crashes this event has to be the most screwed up in the history of the game.
