"tapir" error code after recent update
OK, so I wan't played the game after server maintenance in 2024-03-05 and 1 hour ago I updated the game and tried to play and it show me error "tapir" code and can't play.

I just tried a VPN and the game opened. So what's the problem? I could play without problem before and this is happening to me today.

I'm from Iran. Any idea?

Apparently after the update bungie is using some steam servers to verify and validate the login process And these IP's Are in a blacklist for some reason.
So to clarify the situation
1. Bungie is not IP banning Iranians
2. They changed to a different method of verification after the update and that's why this is happening.
FIX
For now there are two fixes for this problem.
1. Put this IP ranges in a VPN and launched the game(no lag or high ping issues with this method)
Steam:
23.52.29.0/24
81.198.165.0/24
155.133.224.0/24
155.133.226.0/24
162.254.196.0/24
162.254.197.0/24
Destiny:
172.97.59.0/24
2. Put destiny2, steam and steam web helper through a VPN and then launch the game(You will probably experience lag and high ping If you don't have a good vpn with this method)
Final FIX
I have talked to RadarGame About this issue and they told me that " We will request the government to remove these ip's from the blacklist". If they do that the game will run without any problems even better than before.
So for now these are the fixes that you can apply.

found this on google The TAPIR error is currently being caused by having your Twitch account linked to your Bungie profile but it was from 2020 so might not be the cause

u need go with vpn. it's ISP block port issue. hope they fix soon ( shadow bezan age dare addam kon freind bet begam)

Yes I just found this content but this tapir error happened recently after latest update.

Thanks, I should find another way, Our ping in Iran is bad enough in normal way, the VPN will ruin whole PvP gameplay.

Checked all UDP(bungie) :
80, 443, 1119-1120, 3074, 3097-3196, 3724, 4000, 6112-6114,
27015-27200
443 is closed,so game can't connect to server

Thanks for replying. I just figured out that Bungie blocked my country ISPs!! As I tested, the game just work fine with VPN but not with my normal connection and DNS.
I also checked my router so everything is fine.
This just happened after recent update!

Damn it! this is alot ports.
As I tested it just ok with VPN or Ping software in my country. I think they just started to block my country ISPs :lunar2019piginablanket:

U can play with exit lag or gear up booster with no problem ,all ports are open & use your ip for better support,good luck
