Best stuff to get for hunter?
so like im a power 1010 hunter, and i am wondering what exotics i should use, and also what armour and weapons i should use. a "loadout' for pve and a "loadout" for pvp would be great, and also does power level matter? ive been trying to improve power, but recently been thinking that items with a lower power doesn't make any difference, does it? so im not sure if i should focus on getting good gear and/or getting power too.

I main a hunter too and I mostly use Bottom tree Nightstalker (Void) with Orpheus Rigs and a vortex nade with Oppressive Darkness. To prock my nade as often as I can I run with the bottom dodge (Dodging near an enemy gives you a smoke nade, using a smoke nade on yourself and allies around you increases nade charge)

Armour I run whatever I think looks nice but as for stats, I try to get my Mobility, Discipline and Intellect as high as I can. I usually use Discipline mods on most things unless I get a high roll in another stat.

Weapons are personal preference. However I HIGHLY suggest getting a god roll Falling Guillotine (Relentless Strikes, Whirlwind Blade, Swordsmasters guard and Jagged Edge.) I personally run Huckleberry since Recluse now has a Use-by date. Truthteller since Mountaintop also use a use-by date lmao and the sword I just mentioned. However you roll with what you enjoy!

Power matters in the current season activities the most; past activities will also have a power-cap but you should be WELL above that by now. Some PVP modes power does have an advantage, Iron Banner for example.

Some Exotics to keep an eye out for are Celestial Nighthawk, Orpheus Rigs, Rainden Flux (Which I think you auto get.)

Try to run Last Wish and Scourge Of The Past before they're potentially taken away to get Thousand Voices and Anarchy! If you need any more help, just add me :)

For Hunter you wanna have 100 mobility. There is no other class which has so much use out of a single stat. So your cooldown of the dodge goes down to 9 seconds and you are mobile anyway (important for your initial jump and strafe speed (PVP ! )).

Taking the Gambler´s Dodge for refilling your melee ability and if you really wanna reload, too, take the chest piece Dragon´s Shadow. It additionally buffs your reload, handling and movement speed for some seconds. It even increases your slide while the buff is active.

I mentioned the above because once you are used to the Stompees leg armor you feel really slow without it. Sounds odd but switching from Stompees is annoying so use them always or better dont get used to them.

Top tree Void or bottom tree are my favourites.

Top tree gives you invisibility all 9 seconds if you want. So in PvP you disappear from enemy radars except you jump or start to sprint. So another point where the high mobility scores because you walk pretty fast.

Bottom tree has the better Super and the post above mentioned dodge-smoke-grenade circle.

Overall Stats:
MOBILITY 100 , you will need mods and look out for the seasonal best friends mod (+20 mobility)
RESILIENCE as low as possible or 60+ for PvP fans (waste for casual PvP players besides Titans)
RECOVERY high would be nice or use the Wormhusk Crown (dodging gives health)
DISCIPLINE quite high for the nades 50+
INTELLIGENCE 30 because cooldown 20-29 is 5:43 and 5:00 with 30 after that 12-15 secs reduction per tier
STRENGTH low because of your dodging but maybe 30 so you dont have a 1:45 cooldown in PvP.
but Monte Carlo can solve that problem.

And try to get something like this 101/15/42/60/31/32 over 108/18/38/57/35/27 on the long run.
Just run triple 100 (mob, recov, intellect) if you wanna play PvP, you only need 50 mobility if you use dragons shadow since it increases your mobility by 50

ive been running top tree void since i started playing, and rarely deviate from it. for raids it puts a nice debuf on bosses, so more damage done in a dps phase.
what i tend to do is throw my void nade ( opressive darkness mod on gear is a must for this!) and when it runs out i tend to pop my thether for the second debuf. ( keep in mind that this is not always needed as there are always other options!)

why top tree void? if you have orpheus rigs, you wil generate energy balls for other people to collect. ( when eater of world raid was current, we ran it with 2 top tree void hunters, so the other guys could spam their supers during dps phase, but unfortunatly, it all got nerfed).

bottom tree void dishes out more dps in the end, and you get the ability to put yourself and party members into "stealth" mode when using your melee abiltity, this can be very handy in pvp or just strike for teh lolz of it

when im doing strikes, i always run stompees. this is because i like to "speedrun" them to get as many of them done as possible. they give you a nice jump buff, but like siteliner said, once you get used to them, you feel slow. ( this however is only on the jump boost you get, if you have 100 mobility there is no to difference in running speed as the cap is 100 and anything above is wasted, the only time you get runned out by another hunter is when they are using stompees and are bunnie hopping).

raiden flux if you go arc tree, youre super will last a bit longer and yet again, energy generation for other people. however, i dont really run arc a lot, so im sure there are far better options out there!

if you run solar top or bottom: celestial nighthawk. yet another dps boost, and your 3/6 shots get converted to one big shot. ( better not miss that crit spot! lmao)

middle tree solar you have 2 options really:

shards of galanor: i mostly run with these when im doing gambit ( yeah i know, but hear me out).
they give back super energy on kills. now this exotic really shines if you are running normal gambit and you have a tiebreak, and need to run the sudden death game.
i run gamblers dodge, so when dodging near enemy's you get your melee ability back instantly. how i tend to do this phase is run in, pop my super, throw my nade and then melee, dodge, melee again and gues what? you get your super back so fast its actually disgusting.
ive had game end scores where my damage done to boss is 50% and up. the best result i ever had was 68% ! ( i think the other guys must have been sleeping though lol).

the second exotic i tend to run with middle tree solar is ophidia spade. this one will give you 2 knive charges, and is fun to use in open world and strikes, as you can almost spam you knife throw with it.

as for stats, see the above posters, but try and get your mobility up to 100. dont go for 99 though, as only 100 or slightly above will count.
( yeah they say 100, but is you hover over you stats and look at them, the break points are at every 10 points really, so do what sitliner said, go for 1 or 2 points over, but never go for 8 or 9!!!! 101 good, 108 very bad)

hope this helped you a bit aswell!

100 Mobility with Wormhusk Crown is what I run for both PvP and PvE, bottom or middle Nightstalker or top tree Gunslinger. (sometimes run Celestial Hawk or Stompees depending on the activity)
