Item Power Limits
Hi,

I have a Bow a grew really fond of when they first came out called "No Turning Back".
I have just started playing again and noticed that its item power limit is about 300 power lower than other items I am finding, can i Increase this is anyway?

Dont wanna have to get rid of this one :(

An item’s current power LEVEL can be increased (up to its power limit) via infusion. To infuse you need an upgrade module (sold by the gunsmith), and an item for higher power that occupies the same equipment slot. Open the item you wish to raise the power level of, then mouse over the infusion button. You’ll see a list of all items in your inventory from that slot. Mouse over the one you want to infuse into the open item and hold whichever button is listed as “Hold to dismantle for infusion.”

So realistically theres little point me upgrading this bow because it will always be capped at 1060 unlike the other loot i am getting that goes to 1360.
Shame, thanks for the clarification though.

That depends on what you want to do with it. It is unlikely that base level Vanguard strikes, nightmare hunts, nightfall strikes, or any open world activities will require more than 1060 power for some time. And, outside Iron Banner, Crucible and Gambit do not take power into account. So, your bow will likely still be just as useful in the majority of the game for a long while yet. It just won’t be viable in pinnacle activities once the next season starts and increases the power required for the new endgame content.

That said, there’s a pretty good bow available in the current seasonal activity (which has a higher power limit), and it’s very easy to get a lot of new gear from that activity, so you can potentially see a bunch of different rolls for the new bow pretty quickly and find one you like. There are also some new perks available for the new gear this season.

I will certainly look into some of the new options, the main reason i liked the bow was the massive impact and explosive tips made for great damage per shot, but im sure similar effects can be achieved elsewhere... just a case of getting a few to test out!

the cap will be 1060 for everything until November, so you still have 4 months to use that bow, plenty of time, still worth infusing if you like it so much
