Trials of Osiris is a joke

Imagine a "competitive" game mode where there is no SBMM, the matchmaking is connection-based, you get paired with a 3-stack when solo, no dedicated servers, rage quitters, your trial pass wins don't matter at all, your teammates suck 99% of the time and in top of all that you have to win 7 matches in a row. I don't know a single competitive game where you have literally the game against you. This game mode is a joke, made for duos or trios who constantly stomp soloers or streamers who have no life but live inside mommy's basement at the age of 30.

Seriously I hope Bungie rework trials of Osiris or make big tweaks because for solo players this feels more like luck-based.

The whole "competitive" and "rank" stuff in destiny 2 is purely marketing. You need lightfall to get to rank 7 and you need other stuff to get further up etc. Ie buy it. You can be rank 11 with all the trials win flawless, and you could have bought it all. Unfortunately there is also a third party market here. It's very messy, all of it.

If it was meant to be a team only game mode than they would never do freelance weekends, or even allow you to go in solo.

Trials is not for the best, its for those with the best meta setup of the week. There is next to no real skill needed.

i managed to go flawless solo just now. also, if you solo que, the team composition is mostly balanced (all solo q vs all solo q or 2+1 vs 2+1)

But it isn't just low-skilled players in Trials that are the problem - as a medium-player, I've had more difficulty working with high-skilled players who do things on their own and force you to march to the beat of their own drum, or leave you hanging... which would be FINE if they DIDN'T also accuse you of leaving THEM hanging, when it's the other way around.

The world is full of this malarkey, and it gaslights you into thinking these filthy morons are right.

As someone who is very mid in trials, even I can see that the people who can routinely go flawless are on a level above. They are so good they can take the other team alone.

Get that good then you can complain.

Bungie legit adds the easiest pvp mode in all of destiny's life with the practice pool, then makes flawless free af with stack size matchmaking and double mercy and people STILL complain? Literally just win

1 in every 4 teams contains someone using ESP or and Aimbot. Teams don't plan other teams and the mode is at best, a parody of an actual competition.

What is really sad are the players who think that because they are good at Trials of Osiris, they must be worth something. When in reality, MLG doesn't even pick up Destiny 2 or register it as a legit PvP title.

Saying you are good at Trials of Osiris is like being king of the ♥♥♥♥ pile. You still stink and now you are just the king of ♥♥♥♥.

Agreed 100%. People who think Trials is competitive or think they're good at D2 just don't know what the word "competitive" means. A truly competitive game is when every match is fairly balanced, where both teams have the same opportunities to win it. Trials is the opposite. And the funny part is when Bungie asks themselves why Trials population is so low... I mean, that says a lot.
