The DLCs would add a more enjoyable experience and provide a more intimate storyline that would allow you to connect more with the Destiny 2 universe. On top of the campaigns and story lines, you gain access to different exotic quests, new missions, and raids (arguably the most enjoyable part of the game).
Furthermore, if you are ever looking to get into the pvp aspect of the game, all the weapons that are obtainable in the DLCs compared to those that are not from the DLCs will have you extremely outclassed.
In conclusion, the DLCs would make the game much more enjoyable and would provide you with access to so much more that makes the game Destiny, well, Destiny. Take it as you may, some people were underwhelmed with the performance of some of the DLCs and their production, but in the end you get more loot and more engagement in the game. I would say $40 for the DLCs would be worth it in my experience.
if you can deal with that then its great.
The thing is, you answered your own question, you said you're enjoying it.
Most of the negative reviews are temper tantrums, they're not reviewing the content they put the review on, they're lashing out.
The Lagacy pack has arguably the best expansion, or at least a close second with Witch Queen, that pack is a killer deal. Lightfall was a bit disappointing but at the sale price is worth it as it also has good things.
Also keep in mind that if you don't get the +annual pass version, you won't have access to the past three seasonal stories, but the base Lightfall does come with the current season pass.
The armory pack is good too, the Forsaken pack included gives you three cyphers to get exotics from the kiosk at the tower, a RAID and a dungeon as well as Dreaming City content. The 30th anniversary pack in it has a dungeon and a launcher.
All together that's a lot of things to do, some of it you may not like, or you may like it all. We all have our own opinions, I like the game even though some things I'm not a fan of.
Absolutely. That price is a steal, I've been playing for about 1 year and spent at least $120 on content. No regrets but at $40, you're just at a loss if you don't get it.
