ewww, no. I don't go to third person games and post "first person please", why do people come here and want to make this a game I don't want to play?

while i would like to have the option to toggle between first and third person, strictly for pve, it will likely never happen in destiny.

You mean someone who agrees. I don't like third person games, I'm not a fan of sword use being third person, I tolerate it.

no someone with a brain, you don't like 3rd person? then click on the 1rst person option, so everybody's happy, it's a PVE game, should be no problem if you can choose between these 2, I don't know why these guys don't understand that

again, while it would be nice its probably not gonna happen. it would require a fair bit of dev time and resources, likely taken away from more important things. they would need to overhaul the camera to work smoother, adjust animations for third person so the don't look jank like they currently do, account for enclosed spaces not designed with third person in mind, and tweak weapon feedback so that it is just as satisfying to shoot your weapons like in first person.

I mean when you play with sword the gameplay is fine, I don't really think it would be that much of a work. And then why not make it in destiny 3 ?

No, you came to a first person game, if you don't like that leave. You must think that all it takes is just flipping a switch somewhere, they're far enough behind in taking care of issues and releasing content without spending time on this. Once again, I don't go to the forums of third person games asking that the game be first person, but then I'm not feeing all entitled.

There are many third person games out there, go play them if you don't wish to play first person.
