Cat error

Installed destiny 2 for the first time and it wont run, gives me a "cat" error, or something about updating the game files, but my game is up to date. also i did try verifying the game files, restarting pc and steam, but i'm still getting the same error code.

The game is currently offline for maintenance. Players will need to download an update before they can play again. The game and the update should be available at the time of weekly reset.

The update is not live yet, which is why you're seeing the CAT error.

What’s about the "Festival of the Lost 2023" ? I still need to complete 1 challenge and they kicked me off of the game.... two hours prior it “officially” ends... "w*f"

Unfortunately it means the event is over as the servers are offline for maintenance and will be gone once they are back online.

ive been getting errors and then it checks file integrity and then acts like its updating and then i can play the game, eventually just crashes. started after the bungie stuff.
