And no, I'm not going to get better. I'm an old guy with at best, average reflexes and an old machine with at best, average FPS (and a kid in college, so that's not changing anytime soon).
So no, PvP isn't a whole lot of fun. Surprisingly, Destiny 2 PvP isn't nearly as bad as I was originally thinking it would be. Most of the time everybody dies a lot so it's just not that big a deal. But I don't do the high end competitive modes. But it's still not something I'm all that good at, and *surprise* I'm not all that interested in investing too much time in a mode I don't have a lot of fun at.
- excesive aim asist and bullet magnetism that dehumanize the gunplay and make me not take it seriously or as a fair competitive game when i am headshoted i alwais wonder if the enemy hit me on the face or not and hitted the arm, the chest or the air and the game bullet magnetism gift him the crit hit and punished me
- peer 2 peer conection that make the matches a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of delay lag and desync
- a bad matchmaking system that make completely unbalanced teams the 70% of my matches aprox are completely humilliate the other team or being humilliated without chances of comebacks on the first 2 minutes of match you know how is going to end the match
- no enough variety of builds and exotics viable for PVP alwais you see the same builds and exotics and the balance of subclases is pretty bad
- very restrictive meta of weapons, perks and archetypes
- small maps that become repetitive so fast and the mayority of game modes are just small control or small TDM there is nothing like big team battle like on Halo or D1 with vehicles that was the modes i enjoyed on those games
personally i never considered the magnum OP is so easy to flinch the people that is aiming with it and the reticle is garbaje for long ranges maybe just need nerf of the bullet magnetism like bungie did with the linear fusion rifles but for me in general all need a masive nerf of aim assist and bullet magnetism on this game especially hand canons and snipers
People from both ends of the spectrum, PvE and PvP players, have a HUGE ego when it comes to this game. It's disgusting to see some sweat infested skinny twig talking ♥♥♥♥ to other players in a game that's heavily unbalanced. It's also disgusting to see some Quasimodo look-a-likes brag about their achievements in PvE and how they spend 8 hours a day on this game, looking for praise from others besides their family pet.
Elitists are going to tell you to play more and to get better, but people who actually care about finding a fix or answer to this problem will tell you that it's not entirely you, and that the game is too complicated for its own good.
The fact that most people actually have to look up videos to understand how this game works is a testament to that. Even destiny 1 ogs from what I've heard say that the first one wasn't this complicated or grindy, and best of all it actually felt like you were doing/achieving something that you could keep forever, whereas d2 it's like the second you get there they change it and you have to start all over again and grind forever to get there again, rinse and repeat.
Bungie themselves have said multiple times since d1 that they don't really care about pvp hence why it's so ungodly broken and feels pointless to play.
Unfortunately, fun fps pvp games are a dying breed and destiny is no exception to this.
How would you like to be forced to do something you don't enjoy doing to get a gun that you'll use for a totally different activity?
PvE guns & perks should only drop in PvE content, and PvP guns & perks should only drop in PvP content. Forcing people to do stuff they don't want is not a healthy model, and never has been, and it creates the kind of vitriol you're talking about.
It's like if they put the best PvP gun in the entire game as a master mode raid drop.
Like come on.
99% of the time if you see people moaning about PvP, it's PvE players who are being forced to interact with PvP for X Y Z limited time reward, and having a bad time because they're not masters at it, and modes like Iron Banner are dominated by sweaty tryhards.
Same here, I only play Gambit from time to time and hate PvP and having Catalyst locked behind it.
It should be an option, not a requirement. The fact that I HAVE to play PvP just so my exotic catalyst can help me at PvE just sucks
Tho most players played PvP is because of the Quest/Bounties or farming/progressing Exotic Catalyst.
