Which Stat Is Better?
I am going to grind for triple 100 stats on armour. I play Hunter (so Mobility is a guarantee), but I am torn between Resilience and Recovery. Is it possible to get both 100 Resil and Recovery, or is it better to get 1 and try focus on something like Discipline?

Copy pasted from the last topic that disappeared:

Technically it's possible to max out all six stats. But I personally never bothered to grind, farm, and optimize to such a ridiculous degree. Generally speaking, you want higher rolling armor. As such, unless the season gear consistently drops 60+ or 65+ stat rolls I wouldn't farm the season with that goal in mind. Instead I would focus your efforts, if you're going for something casual, on farming that kind of mindless Wellspring activity in Savathun's Throne World. Assuming you have Witch Queen.

Other high stat roll options are generally a lot less casual or singleplayer friendly. Or take much longer. Wellspring is monotonous, but it's relatively consistent and quick. Especiallly Wellspring: Defend. Defend and attack rotates daily. And Wellspring: Attack isn't just numbing, it's painful. Because for whatever reason the pyramid fragment, aka the payload, is escorted slowly even with all six guardians on it, and it only gets worse from there as less are on it.

There's also Artifice armor. Something I personally haven't tried to get yet. In addition to their existing rolls, you can assign a bonus 3 points to a stat of your choosing with them without costing points on your armor on top of the usual stat mod slot and 3 utility mod slots.

And the rest of this comment is new:

Resilience is fantastic for making things that have no businesss one shotting you stop freaking one shotting you. And recovery is alright, but if you're already good at kiting for awhile I don't think it will make that much difference. That said, it also increases the speed in which recovery starts. So if you struggle with kiting for long enough, it might save you Personally if I got to choose 3 to max out right now without effort, it would be mobility, resilience, and the last stat I'd be flexible on depending on whichever build I'm doing. Maybe even choose Resilience if the given build has tons of innate cooldown reduction for both grenades and melee abilities.

Personally my first 100 on all chars/class is 100% resil. The others really depend on my builds but mostly i go for discipline. WIth the font mods you get +30 in the respective stat depending on the font type with an armour charge so is a good way to buff additional stats and pretty much gives you 3x100.

Also i have been focusing defiant engrams and been getting consistent spiked armour in the mid 60s

The only way this has ever been possible has been through the use of perks/mods that temporarily give you a stat increase under certain conditions (examples being the newly reworked Font mods and The Dragon's Shadow exotic). Even if technically possible this is absolutely detrimental as even setting aside the grind and optimisation required it locks you out of actual build crafting.

***

From a character sheet perspective the maximum stats you can reach are as follows:
  • (68*4) - Four pieces of armour each with the maximum base stat total of 68.
  • (12*5) - Five pieces of fully masterworked armour providing an additional +2 per stat per piece.
  • (10*5) - A +10 stat mod on each piece.
  • (3*5) - This allows for either four Artifice pieces and an Exotic or five Artifice pieces. If your exotic isn't one of the pre-Shadowkeep pieces that allows for a 71 base stat roll then this will instead be (3*4).
  • Depending on Subclass and Fragments you can then manage upto +50 additional points.

This gives you a possible total of 447 stat points. Do note however that just because you have 400+ points available that doesn't mean you can actually achieve a 4*100 build as this in no way accounts for the limited stat allo actions that armour can actually roll with.
