Stasis Crystal Synergies ???
Hello, I am wondering a few of things regarding the synergy of stasis crystals with other non-stasis effects... :CrystalPC::CrystalPC::CrystalPC:
  1. Can incandescent explosions destroy Stasis Crystals?
  2. Can Sunshots Sun Blast explosions destroy Stasis Crystals?
  3. Can Polaris Lances Perfect fifth explosions destroy Stasis Crystals?
Apparently the damage dealt by stasis crystal explosions is dependant on the damage source used to destroy said crystal (at least that is what I have believed until now :lunar2019laughingpig:).
  • Is this true? If it is true, how good do you think the above effects would be with crystal explosions? I am wondering if the explosive effects happen after the crystal is formed or before.
So as for these questions... :lunar2019deadpanpig: I'm curious as I am picking out an energy slot weapon to use within my stasis build, preferably Solar as I already have a few good weapons picked out for the other elements.

Cheers!

Has anyone used the updated Salvation's grip? Its really run and plays a lot better into stasis builds now.

There are 6 types of crystal: Kinetic, heavy, class ability, melee, grenade, and super. Upon shattering, the crystal will deal the damage type of the thing that created it, being affected by all debuffs, buffs, effects, etc on that type of thing. Stasis crystals take increased damage from kinetic and stasis weapons, so it will be harder to shatter them with solar weapons. There is no synergy between what is used to destroy the crystal and the type of damage that the crystal does, the crystal is a child of whatever created it and will extend that damage. The exceptions to this rule are cryoclasm, shatterdive and whisper of fissures, which are very buggy and break the rules in several ways.

Ahhh, that actually explains a lot. So are the damage types just set damage values then? Will kinetic crystals always deal the same amount of damage regardless of the value of the kinetic damage that created the crystal?
