Stuck on "Installing Destiny 2" screen

After the update today, I haven't been able to get in the game. Every single time I try to start playing this season, I get sent straight to an "Installing Destiny 2" screen that says "verifying content". After waiting ages for this to be done, it pops up an error saying the content is "unreadable" and that I need to reinstall Destiny 2 entirely. I have followed all directions I can find online. I have cleared my download cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted steam, restarted my PC, checked for driver updates, and I've repeated this process 5 times today to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried visiting the Help Forum on Bungie, and the articles tells me to try things I've already tried and haven't gotten to work.

I do not have a username folder in that path

Update: After deciding to pray to the lord cuthulu and restarting my PC, I moved D2 to my C drive, followed the above directions, and MF GOT IN. You friend, are awesome
