They are dropping like candy though.. I managed to get the exact same roll as my original one and called it a day.

One new main weapon, and the older ones can be focused. This is so that people who want the new gun don't have to worry about some gun from a year ago they have already seen 100 times bulking up the loot pool.

Well maybe good for you. But new players only getting one weapon 24/7 can't unlock any of the other weapons you might want. It is impossible for me to get the slug shotgun as I can't get it. I can't focus it either as it havent dropped.

Because its a new Ritual Playlist weapon. New Ritual Weapons always have a higher chance of dropping than other Playlist weapons, others can still drop its just a lower chance. I recommend using Focused Engram Decoding to get the weapon you want.

It costs more engrams but you can focus for weapons you don't have yet.

i noticed that and im actually a long time player as i returned from the forsaken dlc. But i also switched from ps4 to PC. so my content doesnt transfer, just my characters and vault/ journeys and exotics (luckily i had 100% exotic completion) However there are weapons, content and exotics i will never be able to get unless i buy those dlc's AGAIN. which is dumb. Forsaken is like 7.99 so thats not bad but other dlc's are still 30$ each. destiny 2 is way too money hungry but also too powerful that we can do anything about it now.

All pre-LF stuff is $48 USD total in the current sale ($18 Armory Pack, $30 Legacy Bundle) so you could get all the old stuff relatively cheap.
Still sucks.

each playlist has its own unique loot pool. Take a look at vanguard and gambit

Man, I remember when that think took hundreds of hours of grinding to get.

If randy's took 100s of hours you were having issues. I remember that being an afternoon thing.

pvp pinnacles were no joke to obtain. and i doubt you achieved it in one afternoon. Scout rifles were ass before randy was introduced. a 260 rpm scout was a gold unicorn drenched in gold sprinkles, and was harder to get than removing the stink from a pile of ♥♥♥♥. 2100 glory was ranked. which means a loss means you lose rank/glory. this was a weapon you could lose progress on, much like NF and Luna. which means you either already had it (impossible since it was released on a pvp rank reset.) or you were a pvp god who never lost a match of about 30 matches in a day (also damn near impossible when i believe the highest record for glory wins was 60 set by a player who was not only sniping as his main way of fighting and barely missing, but sniping peoples grenades and his own... mid air... if i remember right you also needed like 300 scout rifle kills with multikills granting the most progress (2 kills granting 1.5. progress to 100% and 3 was 2% and each increasing by .5 after) and then eliminations also requiring 300 kills. Now lets say you had jade rabbit with a catalyst... It still sucks because that rpm? in PvP? when sweats were at their highest peak? No way it was a day, let alone an afternoon. Mida? mida is still a great weapon but i doubt it again, still. Back then i was a 1.3 kd player, and a pvp sweat. went flawless 7 times, had NF and Luna both, knew the meta like the back of my hand (still do ((the weapons then, not now)) which is how i know you had no way) and while youre scoped in shot guns were not nerfed to a blunderbuss now and had the range of the best fusion rifle as of today..for a 1 shot kill.. Thats not taking slug shotties into account which would kill you at SMG range today, in one shot. I remember getting randy rather quick with Mida. however it took me a week. to translate skill i can step into pvp and bang 4.0 kd matches out easy and consistently and i dont even focus pvp as i dont see a point with no pinnacle god weapons around. (my kd is a 2.0 give or take) and i had absolutely nothing going on back then. no bills, car, job. just my parents house and a playstation. So back then i was probably alot meaner in terms of pvp despite the low K.D. but sweats then were just THAT good. (and shotties that op)

So if you really did that.. youre a pvp god as of today's pvp. You probably have a 2.6 kd AT LEAST. you might instead be remembering redrix. which i did get in 1 day as did many others.

I made a F2P alt account before beyond light came out to farm pinnacle weapons for fun, Randy's was easy because momentum control existed at that time, so you could get the scout multikills easy because that's when jade rabbit 1-tapped. The kills part took probably 2-3 hours at most because of that, and comp was actually LESS sweaty then for <2100 SR games, it probably took me like 4-5 hours or so to hit 2100, you did NOT need a 30 winstreak back then, 2100 was super managable in a day, I did it in a day for all the times I grinded mountaintop and recluse on my accounts.

I'm pretty average when it comes to most of D2 PvP, lifetime K/D or 1.5, Seasonal K/D of 2.1-ish. Momentum is my best mode, probably the one I have the most fun in, and is best for grinding stuff. Randy's was one of the easier grinds, as it was post-shadowkeep when they made the quests a lot easier (the vanguard/crucible ones were doable in 2-3 hours). Redix was actually impossible to do in 1 day, as the bounty step alone made it take 5+ because repeatables didn't count.
