Fast way to level up in Iron Banner?

First time doing the Iron Banner and it is taking forever. I just got to rank 17 after HOURS and days of playing. Only to NOT get an exotic for it. The grind in this game is borderline disrespectful. Or am I missing something? Crucible is easier with the dailies. Does Iron Banner have anything like that?

use iron banner armor, iron banner emblem and completing challanges like play x matches to get more rep. thats the only way to level it up faster. Transmoged iron banner set works too, i mean your real armor with iron banner armor universal ornament on it.

Equip all iron banner related stuff additionally from what I know a bug is still in the game you can equip iron banner gear and then on top of that gear equip the appearance of iron banner gear and your multiplier will increase for both the gear and the appearance gear

Not a bug and yes, you can equip Iron Banner armor and put an IB ornament over it to make it count twice, but you will still max out at 5 IB armor pieces. This is good to still equip an exotic armor piece.

I think I dismantled all my Iron Banner specific gear...Is it really that much more XP? If I am at prestige 1 for Iron Banner, will I lose the prestige part next Iron Banner or will I have to COMPLETELY start over every time an Iron Banner starts? The grind in this game is surreal. Do they expect us to play this game 24/7?

You see it when clicking on IB, no need to press launch. Just navigate to bottom left then hover over one of the two white symbols. It shows multiplier and what influences it. It is worth it. Had something missing and was around 6.0x.

New season will reset IB ranks and there won't be another IB this season. Make sure to use IB engrams as well as they would get lost.
Only Xur's Dares of Eternity rank doesn't reset. Still don't have the Forerunner catalyst at rank 16. It is good anyway. Btw great ornament for it right now available in Eververse, Black Armory themed. Looks really good.

IB engrams won´t get lost, as they are now saved in the engram thingy in your inventory.
