I use glaives for unstoppables, and the enigma is not only craftable, but can be equipped with an insane amount of reload speed from lightweight emitter, impulse amp (which makes the projectile much easier to hit at range), frenzy (which will be up alot in LS).
with the other glaive, I felt that I was either using it for taking out void shields (which they both do), stunning unstops or killing annoying ads that i needed some higher damage for. In every case, I wanted to reload as quick as possible so i could proceed to the next room or enemy.
Range doesn't matter because the lost sectors are pretty confined for the most part, stability is redundant, recoil is non existent (literally), handling is nice for this kind of weapon, but the difference is literally 9 handling with the right build on enigma sooo
ecliptic is limited on perks, close to melee is fun, but probably not a good idea in legend lost sectors unless you're doing some crackhead titan melee build. destabilising could be fun if you are going a void class, immovable object has too many conditions (standing still, shield up AND shooting) and replenishing aegis is quite nice.
also alloy mag is the most garbage mag in the game besides extended so i needn't say more.
tl;dr ecliptic is pretty flexible, good in void builds, and fun in lower levels, but being able to craft the enigma makes it so much better, it feels much better to use and it has about the same amount of handling as the ecliptic, but with twice the reload speed. the origin trait is quite nice sometimes too.
if you want to clear ads quickly take ecliptic- if you want a well balanced glaive thats good at pretty much everything, take enigma.
I switched to Enigma and its actually better and I can also level it up when using it. win-win.
