Can't pick up "Forging Iron" quest from Iron Banner

Hi all. I'm new to Destiny. I spoke to Lord Saladin and he did not give me the quest to start the journey and collect engrams. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any advice?

There is no quest. Just play the game mode.

The only "quest" loosly speaking is to play IB for x number of games, and you get a pinacle drop.

Like mentioned above, there is no Iron Banner quest. Don´t know when Bungie got rid of it, but at least last season had no either.

This is the issue. I can’t play the game mode because it says locked until speak to lord Saladin. I go to speak to lord Saladin and his inventory opens up, but he doesn’t give me any quests or anything. Then I go back to iron banner and it still says speak to lord Saladin.
I’ve reloaded my game multiple times, signed out and back in multiple times, nothing working.

That seems weird and definitly bugged, as this shouldn´t be the case.
I can only suggest to make a thread about this problem on Bungies official forum, best with pictures to show your problem.

Rank uo your guardian rank, once you’re rank 5 I think, you’re good to go. My friend just solved it this way, unclear on the exact rank but once he leveled up his triumphs we got I.
