Eternal Loading Screen Issue - PLEASE help if you can!
I recently changed residence, and when I plugged in my pc in at the new place, I can't seem to launch D2. The modem is a bit far away, so I had to get an extra-long ethernet cable (75 feet). Other applications/games such as Discord, Opera, Minecraft all work just fine w/ seemingly little ping

The game takes abnormally long to start up from steam, it gets stuck on the initial loading screen, other steam games load up just fine and in good time, and nothing has changed besides moving physical location and a longer ethernet cable.

My speedtest from speedtest.net shows that my speeds are at their usual, ~30 download + ~4 upload, except destiny just infinitely loads

A list of things that I have tried so far (that haven't worked):

-clearing the cache
-rebooting PC
-reinstalling game
-verifying integrity of game files
-updating drivers (including using driverfix)
-running the game through .exe file instead of steam
-running the game as admin
-clearing D2 temporary files
-copying the contents of /Destiny 2/x64/bin into the main /Destiny 2/ folder
-disabling fullscreen optimisation in properties
-running a virus check
-checking for any available windows updates
-rolling back the previous windows update
-doing a clean boot
-checking to make sure the sata cables into my drives aren't loose
-checking to make sure my GPU isn't loose
-blowing off any visible large accumulation of dust
-I don't use controllers, but I tried unplugging my bluetooth dongle and my macro pad just in case
-pinging bungie.net in cmd (ping was ~30-35ms for each)
-increasing/changing virtual ram
-USB tethering my phone to my PC to get Wi-Fi that way (meaning it might not be a fault of the ethernet cable)
-calling my service provider to make sure things are properly transferred to the new residence (they are, nothing looks off on their end)

In case I forgot anything, I've tried almost everything in this guide (currently to no avail); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L083ufQqhKs&t=1030s

To whoever sees this, PLEASE help in anyway you can.

Edit: bringing up Shift+Tab and pressing controller configuration, the window pops up for a split second and then closes; not sure if this is important/relevant

Edit 2: Also, it won't shut down when I press stop in steam or when I press the X (or alt-f4), I have to close it through task manager. If I try and alt-f4 or close thru the X, the game freezes.

FINAL EDIT: OH MY GOD I MOVED IT TO MY OTHER DRIVE AND IT WORKED. I hope this helps somebody else in the future, though not sure why it didn't work on my SSD

Me too. Been a week. It didn't work after Lightfall for 3 days -- then magically worked after the first big patch to the game. Then Windows 10 updated and I've been dead ever since -- even after last major update. There seem to be quite a few of us.....

do you have any clue or idea as to what could be causing it? in your case or in general

I wish I did. I have tried all suggested fixes including the one that says to check your audio settings... nothing works. As I said there were 3 days after the first D2 downtime of a day when I could play -- then a Windows update and down again. This seems to be a disconnect between Windows and D2 that Bungie will have to fix. I don't think Win 11 has this issue (I'm Win 10). My son has a new Win 11 gaming laptop and it runs fine for him.

You don't have to do the windows update;
Joke you not, check you app settings for the audio preference. For some reason mine was blank, which would make sense to why the game cant pull / launch.
Refer to this since i don't want to take credit for this.

would this affect it across drives? I moved mine to my HDD from my SSD and it fixed it. But if this would fix it working on my SSD, I would love to have it on my SSD
