yes, yes you do. Back in Forsaken i bought it on Ps4. When i came back in 2021 on Pc i had to rebuy it even though i aquired stuff from the expansion and even completed the stories, scummiest move i have ever felt.
Hi there!

When you purchase a DLC, you are purchasing a license to access that DLC on that platform. This is how DLC has worked for years and is not an issue exclusive to Destiny 2 or Bungie.

Destiny 2 is not an XBOX Play Anywhere title, and DLC will not transfer between the XBOX app version of Destiny 2 and your console.

Cross Save does not transfer licenses between platforms, nor does it grant entitlements to any of the DLC. Season passes and dungeons keys do transfer when Cross Save is active, so long as you activate Cross Save first. Purchasing a season pass or dungeon key is considered an in-game purchase and it is immediately redeemed on the characters they are played on.

Thats some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if u ask me, that is a "give us money" move...... well well the expansions are old enough to get vaulted soon. well i got an answer, not the one i wanted but ye.
the fact that the season pass get transfered where u get 1 exotic weapon and some armour that u buy gets transfered cuz bungie think "oh thats important they cant loose this" But when u buy a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dlc that expands the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ main story to the game and give you access to tons of new weapons and armor. Is this game a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke, they might as well change the company name to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA.

As someone else has stated it has been this way for DLC across all video games for 10 years or more. Its not a Bungie thing. Its a game industry thing, it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ though

Not weird the gaming industry is so big, they make us pay for everything. I bet soon we have to pay a daily fee to just boot the game.

The worst is that it doesn't even transfer across online stores on PC. Epic and Steam count as separate platforms so DLC you unlocked on one, does not transfer if you download and play the game from the other, even if it's the same PC. You would literally need to have the game installed twice.

It's kind of funny considering that I can log into Epic using my Steam account.

If it makes you feel better, the Windows Store version of the game includes licenses from Xbox. So you can just download it from there, and play the content you bought on Xbox on PC.

When they could ABSOLUTELY make things unlock at the Bungie account level, the "Its how it has worked for years!" excuses do not fly.

Other games have done it and continue to do it, so don't use that nonsense to excuse Bungie or anyone else not doing it.

Especially given how often these companies all push unique accounts that they want you to connect to and/or log in through regardless of what platform you play on.

But in any case, the fact that licenses don't transfer from platform to platform makes sense. When I bought God of War on PS4, Sony didn't have to give me the free PC version, did they?

God of War isn't a free-to-play, cross platform, cross save, multiplayer game that uses the same account to log into regardless of the platform you play it on.

You know what is though? Warframe, and my Steam purchases don't disappear when I fire it up on the Switch.

Hi there!

As I stated above, Destiny 2 and all DLC is not a Play Anywhere game and does not transfer between the PC and XBOX platforms.
