@OP: The legacy collection is totally worht it especailly now on sale. If you want the latest content, then ofc go with Lightfall, otherwise the legacy collection first.

Beyond light, so you can get Stasis. Then witch queen, lightfall if you want the strand..

considering i dont follow the game that closely or google every bit of news since the first vaulting >thus why i dont buy the dlc< thats good news i guess. still doesnt take away they have done it once before and none of these mean they wont do it again in the future. So in order to "manipulate" there needs to be fore knowledge of knowing what one said is wrong. i didnt know so w.e. I see that none of the links mention them unvaulting the content they took from players. So i wouldnt trust them with a water gun. Thats just me though so o wells. Do what ya want OP. I wouldnt risk it honestly even with this new info.

Witch Queen - Great story
Lightfall - Poor story, but grants you strand

So if you don't plan to invest in High End PvE just get Witch Queen for a brilliant campaign.

Honestly all of them have some kind of inherent value because of what they can offer. Like in my opinion shadowkeep is the worst of the DLC's but it gets you witherhoard which is amazing along with Divinity and a raid. But amoung the best for in terms of value, Witch Queen was very good for story and gameplay. Lightfall's story was mid at best but it gets you the strand subclass and all the content from these current seasons. Beyond Light's story was kinda ass but it gets you stasis so id say just do your own research and see what interests you the most and is the best for the amount of money you are willing to put into the game.

It does...it really, really, does. that's what "no longer" means. it's what "no more sunsetting expansions" means.

Now i agree that unvaulting would be nice. But they won't so no point crying over spilled milk. As their reason for doing it in the first place still stands.

I think the collection is worth it, its a great jumping off point for the game as it is now, don't worry about all the people saying they will "vault" (remove) the content you buy now either. They have confirmed that they will no longer be doing that so rest assured that you will be safe paying for what you pay for. If you have friends playing the game I would recommend lightfall as you can then start to really get a hang of the game as a group but if not there will be people in the community that will be more than happy to help new players! Basically if Destiny is your type of game, they're all worth it. Story-wise however you would be best going with Witch Queen

Don´t make the mistake to buy Witch Queen alone right now, as it is not on sale and cost the same as the legacy collection, which includes Witch Queen.
