Malfeasance is pretty good, it's fun as well. 5 shots and everything will explode
After the strike you have to play a ton of Gambit, so it really is up to you if you like Gambit, go for it, if not, I would reconsider.

I just finished this quest yesterday.First you have to bank motes. If you lose motes before completing that step, you will get subtracted twice the amount you lost. Also, you have to win.On the next step you have to invade and kill as an invader and wipe their team three times.Meaning you have to go in and kill everyone within 30 seconds.I thought this would be impossible, but it seems like your companions count as well.
I do like the weapon though. It's kinda fun and has an innate unstoppable counter.

Soloing the quest was kinda ridiculous though.Since you can't even place a raid banner.

the strike is pretty easy and the rest of the quest can be knocked out in a couple hours of gambit if you know what you're doing. Malfeasance is decent, it's one of those high damage, low utility primary exotics, kinda like heirarchy of needs. It does genuinely good damage and is going to be getting a buff tomorrow, but fundamentally is a fun but ultimately mediocre primary, not to mention the double special meta we find ourselves in cuts down on a lot of use cases for it. Overall its worth it for the collection and fun to use, but unlikely to find its way into your serious arsenal

yeah idk i just wish the quest ended at the strike and not having to do a bunch of stuff in gambit that is literally unachievable by most of the playerbase who are casual players. unless its actually much easier than people on google make it out to be.

yeah honestly the superbuffed strike was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killer, took ages to do. the gambit objectives afterwards are easier (iirc) because its just playing gambit.
in terms of if the quest is worth doing, i say yes because its good to fill out your exotic collection.
hope this helps :alhappy:

the gambit part isn't so bad, it's easier than the strike imo. First part requires you to bank roughly 100 motes iirc, but lost motes count as -2, so either play safe or just alt f4 if you're that terrified of an invader. Second part requires 25 guardian eliminations. The other half of that second part is the team wipe bit, which is either have one of your teammates get a teamwipe a total of 3 times, or perform a team wipe yourself once. Most laborious part is getting 25 kills, since most people get around 5-10 in a game when actively invading. Teamwipes are possible with literally any gun, i remember i completed this quest step with a blue pulse rifle while power levelling and not understanding i didn't need to equip the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapons - needless to say i was a terrible player and still got it. If you have eyes of tomorrow or xenophage, its literally free. Anything from EoT, xenophage, sleeper, or a 450rpm machine gun will easily get you a teamwipe against even decent teams

I don't play hunter but goldie has damage fall off if im not mistaken, so using the 6 shooter wont one shot at any meaningful range and the 3 shooter, well, only has 3 shots. If you're going for the quest, its worth your time grabbing a machine gun, any machine gun. Literally any will do fine and give you a great advantage, preferably 450 rpms. Also, sleeper simulant (exotic heavy fusion) is an exotic available to f2p that most players have, and although it only has 4 in the mag it will oneshot anywhere on the body at any range, so with a bit of skill can be used to clean up quick quads. For pure reliability and consistency, though, grab an MG. Abuse the wallhacks given to invaders, try to only fight one person at a time from cover, and abuse the fact that invaders have roughly 1.5x the health of normal players. Also might be worth grabbing a scout rifle if you invade in such a situation where you see enemies very very far awake, perhaps baking motes (especially on the titan map, you can snipe into mid with a scout and get easy kills). Again, pretty much any scout will do, and the gambit scout servant leader is obviously an easy one to get if you dont have any
