Name change.
I changed my name a few months ago from my original to a new one, and just now I got a notification in Destiny that my name got changed to Guardian blah blah blah, is there any way I can change it back after I already changed it once? or is this some bug that they'll hopefully fix?

Am I understanding correctly that you changed your name and then later on Bungie changed your name to the generic Guardian#5465 thing? That's wild.

No deffinitly not I changed it twice and then after I was put of changes it got changed to the guardian whatever number

someone has reported the name for inappropriate name and upon looking bungie has sided with them and that's why you are now guardian######, or when they did the bungie name thing (so console players could invite people even if they had weird symbols in their names that console players don't have access to) they found someone else with the same name and the other person did the account thing before you did, it sucks mate but not much you can do

That's not how Bungie names work.

You get a Unique player ID meaning an infinite amount of people or however many Bungie's system goes up to can have the same name.

Only reason they will change your name to the generic one is if your name is Inappropriate.
