Is this game fun solo? Is the dungeon matchmaking system out of beta and universally used now?

I played year 1 destiny and liked it but since non of my friends play destiny, I always hated that only one or two dungeons have and ingame matchmaking.

As far as I am aware, dungeons do not have matchmaking.
If you mean raids, then nobody uses (successfully) the guided games feature which is still in beta and is more likely to be scrapped than finished.

End game content is pretty much locked behind forced LFG apps and scumbag clans.... neither of which I use either....so in short. The game is ok, but with no matchmatching really all the end game stuff is out of reach.

No problem, I too am frustrated as a solo player, end game content is constantly out of reach for me which sucks, if I wasn't a beast at crucible/Iron banner I would have quit (again).

Yea game was fun and I still like the concept. Even tho I am totally lost when opening the game after a while again. Not a fan of the UI/Orbit stuff, but if they would do some more user/new joiner friendly changes the game would be really dope to play while talking to friends. I cant imagine whats so difficult about adding some matchmaking for dungeons.

LFG exists, as the Bungie Fireteam Finder and the Discord server. "out of reach" is not how I would describe endgame.

What is a bungie fireteam finder? And why go on discord, like cs:go, valorant, league of legends, so many games have matchmaking. WoW has mythic raid matchmaking... just have it in the game, using discord seems so unnecessary.

There are no matchmaking to end game, just use LFG it's manual matchmaking.

CS etc are just shooters and WoW remove some mechanics in matchmade activities. Dungeons don't need communication but cooperation more or less for sure, Raids on the other hand require a lot of both.

Why don't you people use Fireteams on Bungie.net?

I have done literally every single activity in the game through LFG, takes me 2 second to get a fireteam going, even for catalyst runs, exotic farm like Cloudstrike, I never use mics unless it's a raid

ah okay D1 wasn't on PC so I wouldn't know
